This place deserves my novel of a post. As a first time car buyer, the whole experience can make your head spin. With such short notice of needing a car I was panicking. I was curious as to As a first time car buyer, the whole experience can make your head spin. With such short notice of needing a car I was panicking. I was curious as to where I should look to purchase a pre-owned car. With a new future coming up, I knew I had a decent amount of money to spend, but the main factor was looking for something with a low amount of miles that would last me. I was referred that Ray Chevrolet by a friend. I have heard of Ray plenty of times since I live relatively close to the dealership, but have also seen their commercials with the best Chicago Blackhawks players currently. They had some of the best reviews so I decided it was my best option. My first time going there I was a little nervous and did not even test drive anything, I talked to a salesman who knew my friend and he was very professional. He knew what I needed and was willing to work with my which made me feel comfortable. I let him know that I would return soon with my father, since it was my first time. In the time between are scheduled meeting, I looked at other places to explore my option. I went to another dealership a few days and found some cars that interested me as well as test drove some of them. From what I saw, I thought the price was right. The day of my scheduled meeting I went back to the other dealership before going to Ray. Deep inside I felt some sort of guilt, as a test drove the car one more time I just kept thinking about how I possible hurt Ray, who treated me so well. When I sat down to negotiate pricing something was feeling right and I was uncomfortable. The salesman seemed nice, but the price was not right. After running the costs with financing I felt violated. I told them I would be back after I got some food, but I just could not go back. How could some place that seemed so great do that to me, after all the care I gave them. My credit was good, my down payment was good, how could that do that to me? As I left I immediately reminiscenced my time at Ray and I had to go back. When I walked back into Ray, I was greeted in their show room by a 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S. I remembered how beautiful the place was and continued to feel guilty. However no matter how wrong I was, Ray opened their doors and accepting me. The same sales man I talked to prior, Raymond Jr, was helpful yet once again. He assured that Ray would never treat my like the other dealership would. I was comfortable once again, yet I could sense there was some more qualities of Ray I did not bother to notice before. I noticed the aroma of freshly popped popcorn in the air. It was such a welcoming scent that I could not resist grabbing a bag. Eating this popcorn made me feel as if I was in a high quality IMAX theater, with a perfect level of butter and salt, it was immaculate. That was not all, with out even having to ask, we were brought the most refreshing water from glacier springs. Unlike most places that would have those paper style cone cups, these were bottles that could be easily refilled. I will admit through the lengthy process and finishing the water, I had to make a trip to the bathroom. The bathroom was clean and spacious, even having the most hygienic and efficient hand dryers by Dyson. Back to the important factor, purchasing a car. We looked at the same car I looked at before, as well as a newer model with three times less the mileage. Yes, it was more expensive, but it was certified as well, giving me four free oil changes at any Chevy dealer. When we got the financing offer it was a little higher that I wanted and they knew that. They were able to work with the bank to satisfy my needs. Everyone in the office was happy to come over and greet me in order to make sure I was happy leaving with a car. Everything went so smooth, even down to the detailing before I left. They helped me setup my hands free and OnStar. The last bit that was touching was as I was pulling away, Raymond Jr ran out to shake my hand one more time. The whole experience was more than these words can describe and I think Ray Chevrolet is a place everyone should go to. More
