I'm a long-time Acura owner (exclusively Acura since 2012), but Lakeland Regal Acura's service department and Acura Client Relations lack of follow up pushed my patience past its limit. Another electrical failure parked my 2023 RDX under warranty--what followed was nine days of unanswered calls, texts, and e-mails before anyone admitted the part was back-ordered. Here are the facts, minus the phone-tag novel: What went wrong Warranty repair, zero roadmap * Car towed in June 11 for a failed body-control module (BCM). * Dealer first said "part is ordered," but provided no ETA, no status updates. * Only on June 20--after so many attempts for answers--did a new adviser reveal the part is on national back-order with "no idea" when it will arrive. No mobility support * No loaner: "We don't issue loaners without an ETA." * No rental authorization from Acura warranty. * I'm already $500+ in Uber fares and now face an open-ended rental bill. Corporate safety net that isn't * Opened a case with Acura Client Relations on June 13; promised a 24-business-hour callback. * One week later: Still no answers -- and voicemail unreturned. Confidence-shattering detail * Regal staff cited another 2023 owner waiting seven months (so far) for a backordered warranty item * If that's "normal," why sell new cars without a plan to support them? What I've asked for -- and still need * Written confirmation the BCM is truly ordered back-ordered. * Any realistic timeframe (days, weeks, months--just honesty). * Loaner or rental reimbursement so the factory warranty actually means something. Bottom line DON'T VISIT THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT IF YOU VALUE COMMUNICATION. DON'T BUY A NEW ACURA UNLESS YOU HAVE $$$ SET ASIDE FOR RENTALS. Polite, persistent follow-ups should not be met with non-answers. Until Regal Acura--and Acura corporate--prove they stand behind their vehicles, I cannot recommend this service department or the brand.
