Basically, I went into the dealership because my check engine light came on. I was told I need to replace my cataylic conventer which will cost $2500. I declined the service. They can’t do math and are SLOW at responding I found the dealership while searching for a specific vehicle on-line. They had the vehicle I was seeking in their inventory and the advertised price I found the dealership while searching for a specific vehicle on-line. They had the vehicle I was seeking in their inventory and the advertised price was reasonable. I contacted the number on their site and it went directly to a salesman’s cell phone. First, he wasn’t expecting any customer calls on his phone. Second, I couldn’t hardly understand him due to a very thick accent. I asked about the car and gave him my number and he said he would call in an hour. Two hours later, no call so I found a different number and tried again. This time the salesman, Abdel, said he was with another customer would call back in 30 minutes. Two more hours and no call. Finally I call a third time and get Lydia. Very helpful, quick response. She gave me a single price with no line items listed. Then she sent me to Ryan. YIKES! All I was asking for was an out the door price for the vehicle. Since I am out of state I needed to understand the taxes. Ryan said he would get right on it. Day ended, no price list. But Ryan did tell me that I had to pay Florida taxes for the vehicle and then get a refund in my home state. No, you don’t. I have purchased 3 vehicles from out of state dealers. All have done the same thing. Calculate the sales tax in your state along with tag and title fees and that is what you pay. If you are local, maybe they are good to work with. But if you are out of state and they have to do math, you are out of luck. I am not flying 1,000 miles to get a car from a dealership that is too lazy to even do their homework and take care of customers. I’d avoid them. More
