Shoddy "Certification" Process If you're in the market to purchase a used vehicle, I'd advise against using Rick Case Hyundai due to their shoddy certification process. They do not If you're in the market to purchase a used vehicle, I'd advise against using Rick Case Hyundai due to their shoddy certification process. They do not stand behind their "certified" inspection process even when brought to their attention that the vehicle was not serviced properly. The vehicle I purchased required transmission service at 40k miles; it had 40.5k miles at time of purchase. They could not provide proof of this service having been completed, and refused to pay for the service to make things right even after providing plenty of evidence that they were in the wrong. Now I'm stuck footing the bill for an expensive service that should've been completed when at their dealership. I even (perhaps naively) agreed to pay their previously undisclosed "re-conditioning fee" believing that this meant they did their due diligence in performing the required maintenance on the car, in addition to the fact that it was "certified". How can I trust that they completed the rest of the certification process competently when they can't even prove that simple routine maintenance was completed, and refuse to make it right on top of that? This was my first vehicle purchase, but my last vehicle purchase from this dealership. The only bright spot with my experience was the sales specialist, Eddie Andrade - he was professional, responsive & knowledgeable throughout the process. The sales manager, Bill Delp was the opposite - very un-professional, rude and deceptive. If you find yourself at this dealership, learn from my mistake and walk out to find a better place. They do not stand behind their guarantee and for that reason I recommend you take your business elsewhere. More
