I have two cars and my brother gave me his old Accord Touring 2016 (showroom condition) as he bought a new one. After consulting with my brother, we decided to sell the car because we don’t have space. I Touring 2016 (showroom condition) as he bought a new one. After consulting with my brother, we decided to sell the car because we don’t have space. I went online and got an offer from Vroom for 21 K. Then I went on Right Honda website to appraise it since we bought and serviced it there. They kept almost harassing me calling me at least 4 times a day to bring the vehicle so that they could look at it. I am a very busy person and the dealer is about 25 miles away, anyway I did drive. After I showed them what Vroom offered me, they appraised it for 22K, I asked the sales person A. to email me and my brother the offer and I would discuss it with him. In the salesperson’s email, he mentioned “they often pay 2 K more than a competitor’s offer”, the salesperson called me and he said they could offer more than 22K, my brother had already mentioned 23k so I told the salesperson if Right Honda could do 23k, we could make an appointment tomorrow and sell it. He said yes, they could do 23k because they would love to have the car. He set a Google calendar appointment for the next morning at 8, I told the salesperson that my brother would be driving my Tucson and I have workers working in my house so we need to be quick. My brother and I arrived and after waiting for 40 minutes, the salesperson A. who has been the middle man between me and his boss notified me they can’t pay 23K, all he said was “my car is 2016 and the person who offered me 23k is not working today!” I said you knew the car was 2016, they pulled the car history and we bought it and service it here for the last 2 years in Right Honda!! I could see how embarrassed A. the salesperson was as he avoided any eye contact, I feel bad for a guy working for a such a boss who does not stand behind the offer he gave over the phone. They wasted my time and had me drive 50 miles for nothing, needless to say, they had my brother drive my Tucson!! Anyway, reading the other comments, this seems like a normal business practice for them. I am really sad because their service dept. is great but I won’t be spending anything to support such rude, disrespectful lying people!! Another dealer in the Valley was happy to entertain 23k car yesterday with no lying! I got 23k!! Good for you Right Honda, keep losing customers and have your general manager keep apologizing!! More
