Tristan George, the General Sales Manager, turned a potentially negative sit I went to Rockland Hyundai on Saturday, 8/29/15 to trade in a vehicle. Tristan George, the General Sales Manager, turned a potentially negative situation around. The Salesperson I got was not knowledgeable about the products he had on hand and also was not truthful about my ability to get into a new vehicle. He went so far as to tell me to go have lunch while my vehicle was being prepped for me and he also transferred my insurance to the new vehicle when he knew that he was told that the deal was not going through. Of course, when I returned, the truth came out. Enter Tristan George. When Mr. George intervened, he was polite, courteous, and knowledgeable about the vehicles and most importantly, truthful about my ability to obtain a new vehicle. He went above and beyond in order to make me happy. He said his concern was to work with me to come to a solution I was happy with. It is so very important that honesty is at the forefront when doing business, if you want a happy customer and if you want that customer to recommend the dealership to others. That would not have happened if Mr. George did not intervene in the manner that he did. He turned a bad situation around and made it into a positive one. I think Mr. George is an excellent manager.
