One month later, I find out the car had two recalls prior to the purchase date of the vehicle. I was told $600 would be discounted off the vehicle and never was comintcated to the finance manager at the end. More

Was great at first but became a Nightmare This was my first vehicle purchase/trade-in so I did a ton of research and have been to a lot of dealerships trying to find the right car and they all This was my first vehicle purchase/trade-in so I did a ton of research and have been to a lot of dealerships trying to find the right car and they all gave my husband and I the full racket (ie: taking our car keys hostage, pulling in the manager when we tried to leave, low-balling our trade ins, trying to push us to spend an extra $20k, lying through their teeth, etc.) Rocky Mountain seemed different, the staff is superficially friendly and the waiting area feels like a mountain lodge which made the long process of car buying nicer. We were met on the lot by Tyler, an honest, hard-working, friendly guy that missed his lunch to help us get what we wanted. He spent a good 8-9 hours with us and never lost his poise, he also brought us water and coffee when we asked for it. We were soon introduced to Steve, who must be Texan with as happy and friendly as he was, only the south offers that kind of hospitality! Steve helped us get our heads wrapped around the process and was a very calming presence during a stressful event. We did end up spending $10k more than we wanted but it was for an upgrade we were very ready for. We traded in 3 vehicles with titles from 3 different states. They said it wasnt a problem, just bring them in and sign a contract and we’ll be done. Well it turned into 3 more trips and the computers arent working, we need to do a title transfer, your rates are going up/oh wait, no its lower now that you refuse to pay more, can you sign this blank form and we’ll print the form later, now we need your marriage license, paychecks year-to-date, and a utility bill, we were even encouraged to sign a power of attorney for someone else, told not to inform anyone at the dmv of our move to another state, it was a very odd experience. I told Steve I’d get to it as soon as I could and less than 12 hours later I was called by 4 or 5 different employees and managers over it. I feel completely harassed and am very confused about where they went wrong with their process. The hassle was not worth it in my opinion. It feels like a high end place until youre signing paperwork, then its about as shady as it gets. I can only hope that mine was a difficult deal and they dont do this to everyone but you never know. Bad experience While I am hopeful that some of the employees and management are quality people, our experience was completely unsatisfactory. Our salesman and two of his managers consistently misrepresented the truth in every conceivable way. There are a lot of car dealers in Colorado Springs...and I would strongly recommend going to any of them before visiting Rocky Mountain Auto Brokers. We were sold a decent vehicle but 100% of the promises made during the process have been broken and were not offered so much as an apology. We knew of several issues upon purchase and were promised that all would be taken care of. We were promised that all we would need to do was drop the vehicle off to them, get a liner vehicle, and all work would be done at zero inconvenience to us. 4 hours after dropping off our vehicle we got a call from the manager letting us know he would be calling the police to report the loner vehicle as stolen! We returned the loner only to find out they had not even taken our vehicle to a service shop and that they would not then or ever help us with issues (we purchased the most expensive warranty plan) and they did not know where we could exercise our warranty but it was “not their responsibility”. They “felt certain” that Winslow BMW would honor the warranty. They do not. Winslow BMW has been tremendously helpful however and if you’re looking for a quality and honest group, I would go there! So we are stuck with a vehicle that needs several pricy repairs, and an expensive 2 year warranty that cannot be a exercised by a BMW dealer, and no direction or support regarding the warranty or recall issues. There were promises made during the sale (waiving fees) that we’re not lived up to. Certainly I should have read the fine print and I cannot fault them, other than for having knowingly and willfully lied. More
