I AM CONCERNED FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY. On my 2009 Venza the SRS (side airbag) dash warning light kept coming on. I checked on the internet and there was recall #21A01. The fix NHTSA determined was to replace the wiring harness in the driver's door. Thus, I called my local dealership - Rodland Toyota. I took the vehicle in May 1, 2023. Service adviser Lauren Townes stated they fixed the problem. I pick the vehicle up and the next day the SRS warning light came back on. On the receipt it read the technician just inspected the connections and took photographs. They had not fixed anything. I telephoned them and took the vehicle back to them. Later the next day they stated Toyota wouldn't pay a second time to fix a recall. They said I now had to pay to fix the recall. However, when I asked what the fix entailed - they replied to replace the driver's door wiring harness. The very solution NHTSA determined. I spoke to the service manager, Mark Kuhns. He stated if the warning light had been on when I brought the vehicle in for service - then Toyota would have paid to fix the problem. I advised him both times I brought the vehicle in the warning light was on. He ended the telephone call and stated he would get back to me. The next day Mark Kuhns telephoned to say I needed to call Toyota Brand Engagement. I even offered to pay for the part if he installed it for free. Kuhns refused. At Toyota Brand Engagement, I spoke Annun. Originally, she stated Rodland should warranty all work for 12 months. However, Annun called me back to say it was between Rodland Toyota and me as Rodland had originally reported the recall as already fixed. (By just a few days.) I feel my vehicle is unsafe to drive and I fear for my family. It is unsafe because Rodland Toyota refuses to actually fix the problem. I speculate the mechanic never checked for codes and maybe just looked at a connection. Then he/she just marked the check box there wasn't a problem as he/she had probably done a dozen of times before. However, my vehicle is different. The warning light keeps coming on and it will come on every time I open the driver's door while the engine is running. I want to protect others. More
My wife and I bought from Branden D. a 2023 Toyota Camry. What a AWESOME experience with Branden D. and Doug the Finance Guy. We flew into town from Idaho and Branden picked us up. They took deposit and all personal information, and wanted us to wait for van to come. The van finally came 3 days ago, then we went there to pick up the van. Suddenly, at last minute, they told us your loan was not approved. What? You guys had the file a month ago, did not work on the loan, at last minute just say no? I asked them, how many lender's did you send the file to? The answer was 3. What? There are tons of lenders out there, why only 3? I asked them again, have you tried to discuss with the lenders to see any other options they may have? The answer is NO. Yes, my friend IS a first time buyer. YES, my friend don't have the prove of income, but, there are lots of resources out there. There are a lot of ways to help my friend to get the loan. You guys just don't know, or don't want to work hard for your customer? Instead, they just simply say, no, we can not sale you the car. Right at the site, I made a call to a credit union right way, and found a solution in 10 min. The lend approved the loan with me as co signer. Now, the dealer wants all my information. I gave them everything, but they still want to pull my credit report to submit the loan. I really don't understand why? I have already submit all my information to the lender! I am not getting the loan through your dealership, why you still have to pull my credit report? The sales manager came, said, they want to use my credit report to verify my identity. He explained, everyone can easily make a fake drive license like the Enhanced drive license I have. What? I don't know how the credit report can verify my drive license is fake or not? He said it is their policy to pull everyone's credit report to buy car, even with cash buyer. I AM speechless. The result, they refused to sale the car. I am long term loyal customer of Toyota. All my cars I purchased is nothing but Toyota in my life. Not only because of the good quality of the car, but also the professional services I received from other Toyota dealers, such as Toyota Lakecity, Burien, Kirkland, etc. I liked Toyota. But, after today, I will have to say Goodbye to Toyota. The Rodland Toyota has completely changed the Toyota's professional image. More
I have been pestered for months through media sources to come in to the dealership. Presumably it was to purchase only because when I pulled in to the service line to ask about my GPS system, the attendan come in to the dealership. I have to start off by saying I am extremely happy Colette is your service manager. She has helped me with past issues previously and helped start to turn my negative attitude around about Rodland. She very much deserves that position and always has. I had an Oil change today. Shannon was my writer. She was very kind, sweet and I appreciated her positive, bubbly attitude. She wasn't upset I bought my cabin air filter before she had told me that I needed it. Most writers would've been rude about that, but not her. Thank you for your help. You are wonderful. Thank you for setting up my appointment for Friday too! I would also like to thank Chris in parts. I usually see Luke but he was gone today. Chris went above and beyond and even helped me install my wiper blades. ( The one thing I hate replacing on my runner myself) He helped me order the rear outlet I broke as well. He was very kind and was very efficient. It is people like you three that give Rodland service and parts an excellent experience in my book. More

Also having your staff forcefully charge for services, that were purchased during purchase of such vehicle (quite illegal and immoral practice) I figured it was a random issue with the tire tire light coming on the day of purchase after your staff held the car extra hours due to fixing the issue; that never happened whatsoever. I figured it was a random issue when I received 8 hard pulls on my credit even specifying to only go through TF at signing. I figured it was a random issue when not only you, but your staff used foul language and would hang up the line after threatening litigation and repossession of the vehicle. I figured it was a random issue when taking the subaru to the subaru dealership, they found it low on oil, radiator fluid and told me the tire sensors were old/original in a case. I figured it was a random issue when we were promised that resigning would Not have to take place. That TF was contacted, and a resigning was not necessary; that you at Rodland fixed your error. I figured it was a random mistake when I was offered to paint the vehicle per the issues Rodland has caused, then having the offer rescinded to a $500.00 credit and was told that painting the vehicle was not a viable option I figured it was a random mistake when you missed your scheduled meeting time to resign by over an hour, having to reschedule. I figured it was a random issue that TF cannot find any trace of a deal being done between Rodland and myself (as of 4:00pm 3/25/2020) I figured it was a random issue that I have not received plates much over a month after signing. All this, and much more, that you alongside Rodland Toyota has put my family through, to then not reply for over 2 weeks regarding a simple, but crucial step in the sale process of a vehicle. It is becoming not only concerning that you are choosing to not respond, but also the temporary tags you placed on the vehicle at purchase, are expiring soon. My legal advisor told me not to resign, due to it would put me in further with "your games" as it was said. I should have listened and stuck to my guns. Instead, you and your company stiff armed me, keeping me and my family in the perpetual state of agitation. To not have to drive around illegally in the very near future, please fix this issue immediately. Please, respond as you will. This has gone from frustrating, to downright disgusting. I would see this happening at the mom and pops of the dealership world..from your mouth, decades of experience helping thousands of customers, and yet I had this rough of an experience(?) - Upon contact and repair, the above will be closed.
