I phoned the service department several days in advance The appointment for 110K mile service on my RAV4 went smoothly. However, behind the scenes... I phoned the service department several days in advance and made an appointment. The morning of my appointment I got a phone message reminding me it was time to have my car serviced and to call to set up an appointment. The following day (one day AFTER my appointment) I got a call from the same person asking about making an appointment to have my car serviced. Seems a big car dealer would have a better system in place. It kinda reminded me about the old adage that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Certainly not the worst experience someone could have but seems to indicate a better process should be in place. The person calling was wasting her time and time is money... and I'm afraid wasting it somehow winds up being 'absorbed' by customers. More

Very unorganized. They misplaced my check stubs, lost my insurance card, but contended that they didn't have it.
