Here’s what happened: I initially considered financing through the dealership, but my credit union offered a better rate, so I secured the loan there. The dealership contacted my bank to confirm whether t through the dealership, but my credit union offered a better rate, so I secured the loan there. The dealership contacted my bank to confirm whether the paperwork could be completed that day and indicated the truck might otherwise be sold. At 10:30 a.m., I confirmed the check was ready and texted my salesperson that I was approved and would arrive between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. to complete the paperwork. They replied, “Okay.” At 1:22 p.m., however, the salesperson informed me that the truck had been sold. The dealership offered only an apology. I then had to cancel both the insurance I had just arranged and the loan I had secured for the truck. My credit union later told me I was the third customer to experience this. The dealership showed no professionalism or integrity and did not honor its word. Its website states, “We have devoted ourselves to helping and serving our customers to the best of our ability.” In my experience, that applies only when it benefits them More
