The only pleasant experience I had with this dealership was the day I picked my car up. 1. I made my appointment for a recall to be fixed. I called the Mobile, Al location but was booked for Hammond, L was the day I picked my car up. 1. I made my appointment for a recall to be fixed. I called the Mobile, Al location but was booked for Hammond, LA. Thankfully, Hammond office called to confirm my appt prior to spending money to have my car towed & they worked diligently to squeeze me into the schedule. Had Hammond location not called to confirm, who knows how long my car would have sat until I finally called to check the status, only for it to be unknowingly sitting in the parking lot without them knowing. 2. Once my car was towed I called on a Saturday at 5:20 to confirm it was dropped off. The lady that answered quickly let me know they closed in 10 minutes. I told her where the tow truck dropped my car off at & she informed me a tow truck had not been there all day. I drove 40 minutes to the dealership to confirm & it was in fact sitting right where I told her it was. She was lazy and did not want to check. 3. I called to inform Service that the coolant hose had been damaged by another shop & they told me my car had zero coolant. I asked her for a price to replace the hose & fluid & my advisor Brandi refused to give me a price & stated I would have to pay a $250 diagnostic fee to confirm that’s what’s needed. I hung up, called the Hammond, LA office & they very quickly got in touch with Parts & gave me a parts cost & kindly gave me a cost of labor & parts. I was denied a price for serious repairs on my car for absolutely no reason! I did not ask them to diagnose it. I reiterated this to Brandi & she repeatedly told me she could not tell me how much it would cost unless I paid the $250 diagnostic fee. 4. My car was scheduled for a Monday morning. I called on Friday to get an update. Brandis response was “We are at the mercy of the manufacturer sending us the parts. I cannot tell you when it will be shipped”. I explained we were moving out of state and I need some sort of update & it was only after asking to speak with someone else that she placed me on hold to see when parts were being delivered. After asking to speak to mgmt, she was miraculously able to tell me when parts were being delivered AND when I could expect repairs to be completed. 5. I did not receive one single update on anything in the 19 days my car was there, even after repairs were completed 4 days after I was told they would be. 6. During pick up, Brandi was REAL QUICK to show me very dramatically how much the parts for my recall was ($2,568) and I was not responsible for anything “because they took care of it”…. Ummm, THIS IS A RECALL! I was without a vehicle for a month because of a recall! I spent over $400 in having my vehicle towed to a shop and then to the dealership because of a recall. She did not do me a “favor”. They did what they are legally required to do! This recall that affected the engine and drive power has been open since 2020 and I did not receive a single notice about it, though I am signed up for notifications. I am close to buying another vehicle and I absolutely will not be back to this dealership after this experience. If my car has to go back to the shop, I’d drive to the Hammond, LA location before Mobile, any day. The ONLY good experience I have had with Ross Downing is from Brooke & a couple of others from Hammond. More
