I would strongly discourage anyone from using the service department at NuCar Nissan. My vehicle was at the dealership for over two months for what should have been a warranty replacement of a brand-new d department at NuCar Nissan. My vehicle was at the dealership for over two months for what should have been a warranty replacement of a brand-new defective transmission. The experience was frustrating from beginning to end. The problems started almost immediately. After dropping off my vehicle, I received no updates for an extended period. When I finally called, I was shocked to learn they didn’t even seem to know my vehicle was sitting on their lot. My assigned service advisor was on vacation, and I was told no one else in the entire service department could assist me. I had to wait days just to get any information. After weeks of little to no progress, I had to demand a loaner vehicle because I had been left without transportation. Then I was told my car would be ready the following day—but suddenly my battery was supposedly dead. They offered to replace it for an outrageous price or suggested I be prepared to jump-start my car when I picked it up. This made no sense because I had installed a brand-new battery the same day I dropped the car off. The next day I was informed my vehicle actually wasn’t ready because the replacement transmission had a programming issue and they would need to install a third transmission. Then, just two days later, I was told my car was ready. When I specifically asked whether a third transmission had been installed, both service advisors confirmed that it had. Unfortunately, that wasn’t what I was later told. Within minutes of driving away, I noticed multiple problems: abnormal RPMs, hard shifting, a whining noise, and steering that didn’t feel right. I immediately returned the vehicle. That’s when I was informed that a third transmission had not been installed after all. Instead, I was told Nissan had provided a workaround to bypass the programming issue. Despite explaining all of the new problems and speaking with multiple employees—including General Manager Patrick Jeffers—I was essentially told there was nothing they could do because no diagnostic codes were present. After spending more than $8,000 on a new transmission, diagnostic fees, and towing expenses, I was expected to accept a vehicle that clearly did not drive the way it did before. What disappointed me the most wasn’t just the repair itself—it was the complete lack of communication, consistency, and accountability throughout the entire process. I repeatedly had to chase down updates, my calls often went unanswered, and I was given conflicting information. My experience with service advisors Ashley and Charlene was extremely frustrating, and when I finally escalated my concerns, I expected leadership to help resolve the situation. Instead, I felt dismissed and that responsibility was avoided rather than addressed. If you’re looking for a dealership that values transparency, communication, and customer service, this was not my experience. Based on everything I went through, I cannot recommend NuCar Nissan’s service department. More
On July 2, 2025 I paid Nucar Nissan of Allentown ~$19,000 for a 2017 Rogue they advertised as passing a “multi-point inspection” and being a “dependable used car”. Within weeks the engine failed. During t for a 2017 Rogue they advertised as passing a “multi-point inspection” and being a “dependable used car”. Within weeks the engine failed. During the next two months, I required TWO complete engine replacements under the extended powertrain warranty. The first time was due to a valve issue which could've been solved by an experienced mechanic, while the second time a replacement was needed due to engine knock since no Youtube tutorial evidently exists to teach them how to fix faulty lifters. During those two repairs I paid $1,605.54 out-of-pocket for rentals because Nucar refused any loaner or reimbursement. After one swap, one of their mechanics left a wrench between the hood and windshield; I found it days later when rain forced me to use the wipers. Following the second swap, the shifter cable was left loose, stranding me in their parking lot for over 40 minutes until a tech ran out to tighten it. Now, only 1000 miles after the second engine, the battery is dead and the alternator has failed. The Nissan Electronic Service Manual (CHG section) requires a charging-system inspection and battery voltage check after any major engine repair. Both repair orders prove Nucar never performed that test — not once. They now refuse to cover the battery and claim the alternator is on backorder "which could be months" even though the part is in stock at various outlets right now. This is not incompetence; this is systematic deception and negligent workmanship that has cost me thousands and left me without reliable transportation for half a year. I have filed with the Pennsylvania Attorney General, BBB, and will be in small-claims court next. I plan to share every detail of this experience — receipts, repair orders, photos, and communication across every major review platform, car forums, and local community pages until no one in the Lehigh Valley ever risks doing business with this dealership again. Avoid Nucar Nissan of Allentown at all costs unless you enjoy paying for your own repairs on a car they already “fixed” twice. This isn’t a dealership, it’s organized fraud hiding behind claims and fabricated reviews. Violated PA’s Unfair Trade Practices Law, FTC Used Car Rule, and every shred of human decency. Run, don’t walk, away from Nucar Nissan of Allentown. Absolute garbage. More
