Even if I didn't have my toddler with me I appreciate respect for my time. No games with negotiations but were willing to deal on an already great price for some extra options we wanted. And this was on certified pre owed car! Their offer for our trade in was excellent! Install of aftermarket options great, I've had other dealers damage a brand new car during install of remote start and not accept responsibility or fix and then same place cracked interior panel during warranty work and didn't let me know---had to find it after I left and then they admitted and fixed but that was another spot on another day! I have been to 3 other dealerships in Morris and Sussex country and had horrible experiences. No more, this is my dealer from now on! More

When I submitted the request on Rt23 Honda website, got a call within an hour from Dave Garcia. Dave was very courteous and professional. I asked for OTD price to be emailed for 2016 Accord V6. The next day I visited the dealership, I got a decent price for my trade-in and the new car deal was done in no time. Not a penny added from the quoted itemized OTD price whereas the dealer (Joyce Honda) close to my home added 700 dollars (299 for VIN etching!!) to their emailed OTD price. Dave Garcia is also very knowledgeable on the car and gave a full demo of the car on the delivery. Thanks Dave, for your excellent customer service. More
Car service I had excellent service on my Honda Accord on 11/6/15. A part had to be ordered but the car was ready on 11/9/15 and a loaner car was provided to me. Dave was very patient and took the time in spite of it being his birthday allowing a couple test drives. When we settled on price we put down a deposit but because of time and schedules on our end had to come back. When we did Dave spent an equal amount of time searching inventory then looped in Wilson the business finance leader who processed the teams of paperwork quickly I'm very little time. They both along with Ron the sales manager were very professional and cordial. The experience was quite positive. They represented their company and brand very well. More

I am satisfied with my new purchase experience here. I have purchased cars in many different places throughout my life. The dealership experience has been vastly different. In the early 80s where I beg I have purchased cars in many different places throughout my life. The dealership experience has been vastly different. In the early 80s where I began my car buying experience, most dealers were not very transparent in their business. Up until year 2000, buying a new car is like going to the dentist office regardless of the car makers, American or foreign cars. Only places that I feel somewhat at ease and comfortable were so called luxury foreign Europian cars, probably because the prices paid were high enough to justify decent relationship building between the dealer and the customer. Starting Lexus dealer around the country, dealers tried to show what great dealer experience could be for their customers. It has a lot to do with the improvement of car quality in workmanship and improvement of repair record. It shows that customers do not have feel ripped off when they purchase a new car from the dealership. Also these days not too many accessories has be purchased because all basic optional accessories are already included in the car price. No more under body coating for rust proofing has to be forced to purchase. Customers become more educated through online search and comparison, and so did the dealers learned the secret of success in car selling business: only way to survive is customers have to come back again and again because their car qulity is good and dealership experience is pleasant. Dealers who ignore customers went out of business sooner or later. If anyone asks, would you buy the next car from this dealer? and if the answer is no, probably this dealership will not doing well in the long run. After this long winded my general observation of the dealership experience, I must congratulate Mr. Eric Rodriguez for his excellent car salesmanship for my new Honda Civic. He is relatively young for car salesman, but his presentation of cars I was interested in was always to the point and clear, he must have done a lot of homework to introduce particular car to us. My wife and I was sold at the end of his explanation, even though I was highly motivated to buy a car anyway. We could have gone to another dealer or we could just wait till we feel we are really ready, but Mr. Rodriquez convinced that we want to buy a car that we have in mind. In stead of pushing to sell a car, he calmly explained completely what I was curious. Most customers are dying to be convinced: " Tell me why I should buy this car over that one from you." That is why the Home Shopping Channel is bombarded with phone calls when the host explain why you need that product. I am sure there are many excellent salesmen in Route 23 Honda, but our hero of that day was Mr. Eric Rodriguez, and Wison Feliciano team. Even though we purchased an extended warranty ( the infamous extra money spending insurance) on top of the price of the car, after we talked with the finance manager , Wilson Feliciano, we realize later that some small portions were left out before signing the final document such as there is a deductable per incidence and it is $100 and we can choose different amount, and it can be purchased later even if it cost more later and there is such thing as Honda's own service contract program, Honda Care even though it is more expensive and what the practical example of difference. In my opinion things such as these, should be offered in front of us before we decide and sign even though there is a chance that we may not buy the service contract and route 23 may lose this opportunity. Having said what could have been better here and there, we think Mr. Wilson decribed well enough of the nature of the extended sevice contract in a very reasonable and logical, down to earth manner. He was the first business manager in years whom we felt that he is more convincing us than using cheap scare tactics. He is extremely approachable in any type of questions. Maybe that is why we purchased the extra service contract from him. We generally walk out if anyone pushes too hard to sell their product. Overall, Rodriguez and Feliciano couple made a feel-good-and-no -feel -ripped-off sale to us and we will definetly buy another car when the time comes from these team again. I strongly recommend that in the future, Route 23 Honda prepares "true" customer education web site before purchase cars on extended service contract in detail such that anyone should know before signing any document about every detail of exteneded service contract before they meeting with business manager. Not just one time quick explanation on the spot, but eduation program before signing the document such as 1. Comparison among different programs out there 2. Explanation on different deductibles, pro/con of when to purchase the program 3. Cancellation of extended service contract and its effect on loan pay amoount 4. Mention of power train warranty( which is generally longer than 3/36 months) period in relation to the service contract in mind. Is there an option for not purchasing powertrain service contract since they are longer than usual warranty 5. Detailed real example of what is not covered items, not just listing what is not covered. 6. Once the real need of purchasing extended contract is convinced to the customer, customer will buy it much more enthusiastically. If the program cannot be convinced enough, it is really a waste of money program in the first place. If it is a good program, there must be great real life examples from the real customer. The difference between American cars in the 60s or 70s, vs. Honda cars now proves this story well. If I am convinced of the need of spending more money on extended service, I will buy it before anyone tell me to buy. Overall, Route 23 Honda team is better than most dealers from my limited experience. More
