Excellent Work by Andy Betemit I never write a review, but feel the need to share my recent experience at Route 23 Honda in Pompton Plains New Jersey with others who may have concer I never write a review, but feel the need to share my recent experience at Route 23 Honda in Pompton Plains New Jersey with others who may have concerns about getting taken advantage of when looking into a new car. Due to my prior experiences, I outright dread the car buying process. Whenever I think about getting a new car, I envision an overzealous salesperson ogling at every customer that walks through the door thinking they are "fresh meat" to make a sale (i.e. Eugene Levy in National Lampoon's Vacation). Well, I had been searching for a new sedan car for the last few weeks, and my recent experiences at other car dealerships only confirmed my apprehension. In fact, the salesman for a "competitor" of Honda was outright rude to me, and actually made me feel that I was a burden and should feel privileged to get a car with all-wheel drive. This "competitor" even refused to allow me a test drive because he wasn't absolutely sure I was going to buy the car (pretty nonsensical business model if you ask me). Thankfully, everything changed when I went to Route 23 Honda late in the evening on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. I showed up at the dealership about forty-five minutes before closing time, without an appointment or even any intention of purchasing a Honda. As I walked into the dealership from the cold, I was greeted with a friendly hello and warm smile from the receptionist. Within minutes I was introduced to a young salesman by the name of Andy Betemit. Due to my past experiences and Andy's youthful appearance, at first I was very skeptical. However, Andy's forthright honesty and extensive knowledge quickly eased any concerns I had. Despite the fact that it was late in the day, Andy took the time to answer every question I had in a candid and straightforward manner. I even tested Andy's honesty by asking him questions about some of the shortcomings associated with Honda Accords (which by the way are few to none) even though I already knew the answers. Andy never shied away from giving me a truthful and accurate response. More importantly, he never tried to shove an unnecessary products down my throat, and never pressured me into making "take it or leave it" decision. After we test drove the Honda Accord EX, it was time to talk purchase price. Andy and his manager, Ron, worked with me (not against me) to find an appropriate vehicle within my budget. Also, the finance representative, Fred, was very accommodating and helpful in guiding me in the contract signing process. Although I had been to five different dealerships before Route 23 Honda, I ultimately decided that the 2015 Honda Accord EX was right for me. To say that I am ecstatic by my decision is an understatement. The vehicle, by itself, has a sleek classy style and, more importantly, performs excellent.. But my final decision to make this purchase was based on the way I was treated by Ron, Fred, and especially Andy. The staff at Route 23 Honda in Pompton Plains treated me with respect and dignity throughout the entire car buying experience, which is something that Honda's "competitors" have lost sight of. It is clear to me that Route 23 Honda truly values its customers. This dealership can now count on my family as a loyal repeat customers. -Jon T More

Best Experience at a Honda Dealership out of the 4 I visited After visiting four Honda dealerships, I finally decided to check out Rt. 23 Honda for a car. I originally went in to purchase a used vehicle, but I came across this beautiful 2014 Accord Sport in the showroom and it swept my off my feet. What made the experience even better is Steve Mains who did a phenomenal job at assisting me. Steve and his team helped me in ways other dealerships and sales person couldn't. He did everything he can to make this buying experience the best. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone who's thinking about purchasing a car. It's probably the best dealership around and was worth the wait for a car and the drive up to the location. I drove out happily with a brand new car. More

Very satisfied Steve Mains made me a believer in rt 23 Honda yet again. I leased a 2013 Accord lx 2 years ago and love the car. In passing during one of my oil chang Steve Mains made me a believer in rt 23 Honda yet again. I leased a 2013 Accord lx 2 years ago and love the car. In passing during one of my oil changes at the dealership I ran into Steve and told him how much I loved my Accord but I wished I had gotten the sport trim level. A couple weeks ago I received a call from Steve and he brought up how he remembered me telling him I regretted not getting the sport trim and how he could get me out of my lx and into a sport with very little difference in my monthly payments. What makes this story even better is the fact that I was on Honda.com the night before he called me checking out the accord sport yet again so needless to say I made my way to rt 23 Honda and Steve stayed true to his word and sent me on my way in a 2015 Accord Sport and I love this car. I couldn't be happier with the monthly payments Steve got me hes a straight shooter and a pleasure to work with. Thank you Steve your the man! More
