Lied to I have been looking for a vehicle for some time and found one on Autortrader at route 46 Jeep which is about an hour from me. I went to the dealer a I have been looking for a vehicle for some time and found one on Autortrader at route 46 Jeep which is about an hour from me. I went to the dealer and spoke with a salesperson. I drove the vehicle and I liked it. It was a 2013 and was not certified according to their ad. I had looked at a very similar vehicle at another dealer and was told that there was a recall on this model and year and that they would not be able to certify the vehicle due to the recall. The salesperson and I sat down to discuss the price, he offered me the price advertised on auto trader and then told me that I would have to pay (approximately) 2400$ out of my own pocket to certify the vehicle and that the certification would cover everything ( such as power accessories) up to 100,000 miles and 7 years. I knew from car fax that the vehicle had open recalls and that the vehicle would not be eligible to be certified by Chrysler, when I questioned him about this he told me flat out that the recalls had already been fixed and that he wasn't legally allowed to sell me a car in NJ with open recalls. I questioned him further and looked again at the car fax, and asked where the repairs were done because it did not show the recall repair. He again stated that the recalls were already fixed and that he couldn't sell me the car if they weren't. I double checked the recalls on the government site safecar.gov when I got home. The recalls are still outstanding. In fact the one has been outstanding for 5 months because Chrysler does not have any replacement parts for the defective alternator yet. So I was told both that I had to pay for certification which was unavailable for that specific vehicle and that 2 recalls had been fixed, they in fact had not. Both Lies, straight to my face. I may look young but I wasn't born yesterday. I was willing to purchase the car even with the recalls if they were up front with me and would agree to handle the recall asap. I know Chrysler won't certify it but would have been willing to negotiate on an additional warranty. Unfortunately they were extremely dishonest with me. This type of dealer is one I would stay very far away from. More

After nightmare in service, got my car back falling So very upset. My car was scheduled to be seen today at 7:45am. At 3pm I called and was told it was just getting on the lift. 7 hours after the appointment time. Meanwhile my husband told me his 6 month old car that had been in 1.5 weeks ago has a muffler that is flopping around caused by the work done. When I asked for a loaner for each car now that we'd have to bring them both back do to the service departments negligence, I was told that I'd have to give a $250 deposit. I refuse. 5 years ago when we had to leave a car for 3 weeks do to the dealerships fault, Chrysler covered a Nissan for 6 days. Sighting that was the amount of time it should take to fix the car. The other weeks we had a Chrysler 300 and was CHARGED on our deposit because Chrysler wasn't reimbursing that amount of time to the dealership. I absolutely refuse to open myself to have that situation happen again. My Jeep was returned to me with the front bumper falling off. We were told it arrived like that. Complete and horrible lie. Someone either maliciously destroyed my vehicle or forgot to put the bumper back on. Please help! More
