Technician couldn’t get aftermarket TPMS sensors to work (anybody with a programmer can get them to start working - problem is they stop working after a few days), wanted $175 to tell me that or nearly $900 to replace 4 TPMS sensors. I asked if I can just purchase the sensors since my tire guy will install for free. They charge $150/ea for an already overpriced oem part (42607-02050, msrp of $108). Other dealers sell this part online for as low as $71/ea. They had me for the diagnostic fee and they refused to budge on the parts. They did cut the “diagnostic fee” in half, which they didn’t have to do, so there is that. Some of this on Toyota for breaking a universal part, some of this is on me for not reusing the factory TPMS sensor, and some of this is just short term greedy tactics. Royal Moore lost a customer for life for $300. I don’t understand how this pencils out, but I guess it does for them. More

Then I found out at the dealer on a service visit that there is a “ list” to be on and I needed approval form so that I would not have to pay for something I already paid for when purchasing a new car. Royal Moore dropped the ball. My service representative was thorough, efficient and did all that he could to help me with this issue.
