Review of John Hargis, Sales & Leasing Consultant I went to the dealership ready to buy a car. However, the first salesman that I worked with was a bit young and I preferred to work with someone with I went to the dealership ready to buy a car. However, the first salesman that I worked with was a bit young and I preferred to work with someone with more experience, so I walked out of the dealership. John Hargis came out and approached me and asked: "What can I do to win your business?" I told him I wanted a new vehicle at a reasonable price without any haggling back and forth on price. I told him what price I wanted to pay. He said as long as I took a vehicle that they had on the lot, I could have it for the price I wanted to pay. I said "you have a deal." In the process of working with him during the pre-sale process and post-sale, I found him to be a good listener, very accommodating and provided ready follow-up for me in areas that I needed help with him. John is great to work with and I recommend him to anyone wanting a straightforward, honest salesperson. More
WARNING!! PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS!! THIS IS NOT OKAY!! I’m writing this review because I do NOT want this to happen to someone else! I bought a used car from Rusty Wallis Honda last A THIS IS NOT OKAY!! I’m writing this review because I do NOT want this to happen to someone else! I bought a used car from Rusty Wallis Honda last April (2018) it was a 2009 Hyundai Genesis. It was in good condition, they just received it on a trade in and I happened to be there looking. I was interested but not convinced so I told them what I was willing to spend and it also needed 2 new ties on the back. They agreed to put the 2 new ties on as part of the deal and I could pick the car up the next day. All went fine, they took my money, I got the car and that should be the end of it. Except 1 year later I am at a car shop being told that I have 2 ties on my car that were made in 2008!!! (Before the car was even made!) They were dry rotting with perfectly good tread on them! I was told it was only a matter of time before I would have had a blowout, most likely while driving at a high speed because that’s when they would get really hot and blowout. This could have been very dangerous, and cost myself or someone else their LIFE! Of course the date stamp on the tire had been placed towards the inside of the car so I couldn’t have known, in addition they put the wrong size tires on, my car should have 50’s and they used 55’s, someone was allowed to pull a fast one. I’ve been told since this happened that you’re not allowed to even store tires past 5 years due to issues like this, and they knowingly put 10 YEAR OLD ties on my car and called them NEW!!! I live out of state or I would have gone back and insisted they make this right! Instead I contacted them (in particular Freddie the sales manager who worked with me on the deal) in hopes they would do something to help fix the mistake and make it right. I reached out 4 different times over a months’ time and was told they were looking into it? I will have to eat the cost of replacing my “new” tires but what bothers me the most is that I don’t want this to happen to anyone else! Its poor business and I think they make enough money not to have to shaft people on a tire deal!!! THIS IS NOT OKAY!! PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS!! Insist on seeing the dates on your tires! More

The fact that I went in about a month before and did not feel pressure nor hounded over the previous month before I bought my new vehicle was great. In most cases, dealers and dealerships try to push for the sale way too much, which for me has a negative reaction and I take my business elsewhere. John’s attention to detail and even now when my purchase is complete he’s taking the time to make sure everything is working just fine on my new vehicle is a nice touch. While going through the car buying process with him, he had a previous customer call Lin and ask questions about their car, John took the time to help his former customer. He’s told me that I am “his now” and he’s there with any help. More
