I was very happy with Mark Carney sales rep, although once I got back with finance I was mislead on the price & extra pkg sneaked in without my knowledge or even asked if I wanted. I was told I needed to be at $36k and under due to my credit so mark and found a truck that posted online @ $40k so I told mark if put $4k down we can finance for $36k and said perfect. Well finance snuck in a extra 100,000 warranty for $4k so I ended up financing for for $40k so I asked him if he could take it off and said no it was to late and that itll only be like a $10 difference which is not true ,more like a $45 a month diff , but he was in a hurry to go eat lunch. Needless to say had I known I could finance for $40k plus my $4k down I could of got a truck I really wanted instead of settling for the bare minimum lone star truck . This is my 4th dodge my second at this dealer . Last year I bought a 2020 Laramie and it was totaled that put me down for 7 months with 3x a week of therapy and truly believe that the trucks strength and features saved my life .. so I came back to the same dodger dealer and I have to admit this was the worst deal I have ever had since I first started buying vehicles for 24 yrs.. my monthly payment for a basic lone star is $900 a month which was almost $100 more than my 2020 Laramie . I understand there was a charge off of $16,000 that effected my credit ,but that was cause the gap insurance didn’t pay the difference for what reason idk , but maybe cause I didn’t even get to make my first payment. For me I’m still upset and didn’t feel the loyalty and stuck with a truck I didn’t want with the highest monthly payment so he didn’t have to sneak in that extra warranty I didn’t want or need and I felt like my $4k was taken advantage of. Instead of that extra warranty I didn’t want my $4k could of went to a truck I actually wanted , but when ur told that it has to be a $36k truck or lower I took his word. Another thing I noticed after reviewing the deal at home cause it took us a total of 5 min cause I felt rushed cause all I heard was it’s lunch time sign here, here, here, etc. I got home and looked at it and I noticed I didn’t get the deal the internet had which was a flat $40k and on paperwork it listed started at $42474.22 I still got rebates and with my $4k down I financed for $40k I wouldn’t of been as unhappy if I got what dodges internet price $40k minus my $4k down and the same rebates plus that $42474.22 price I ended getting instead of what was advertised at $40k another $2,474.22 could have brought the price down and maybe financed it for $34k obviously with my $4k down. after my 4th dodge not to mention it was truck month , country going through a pandemic , my loyalty to Dodge for the first time I felt this has to be the worst deals I ever had for something I was told I had to settle for and made it worse when an extra warranty pkg I didn’t need or asked if I wanted it. It’s real simple if finance told me I had $40k to finance I had $4,000 to $5,000 for down payment I could of gotten a truck I not only needed with 4/4 and other accessories that I love dodge for. I got the truck abt a week ago and everyday I shake my head when I think abt the deal and get upset on what I could of got if just a little creativity was implemented. If I didn’t have to go get my son for his spring break I so wanted to take the truck back that’s how I’m happy I was . Not to mention the 15 hard inquiries from 15 different banks that hit my credit and I was in the market for another credit card as I was pre approved last week , but denied yesterday stating the reason in an email to many hard inquiries.. sorry for the long letter I just could t hold it back anymore thinking I could of had something I wanted for being mislead... I don’t what can be done at this point , but I hope something can cause I really love dodge I just needed a different type with features I needed for the work industry I work in..
