Excellent Purchase Experience Bought a new Ram pickup from Joe Lyons at Sands. Joe and other Sands dealership staff I dealt with were professional and respectful. Excellent place to "buy" a car and not be "sold" a car. No pressure to buy. Not even on the add-ons. Sands was not the closest Ram dealer to me but their websites pricing was upfront without showing an impossible price with a bundle of incentives that no one could qualify for. Their dealer discount before manufacturers incentives was one of the most attractive advertised on the internet. Also their website has plenty of real and accurate pictures of the vehicle which I really appreciate. It seems like so many dealerships can't be bothered to post real pictures of the vehicles and just show a factory representation or at best a few exterior shots. Joe was very patient and knowledgeable in giving a rundown of the vehicle. He also had a preplanned route that was really helpful since I was not that familiar with the area. Also he and his technicians pretty quickly answered concerns I had with specific functions that just turned out to be operator (myself) error. The truck was ready when promised and looked excellent. They were courteous and fair every step of the process. Unlike others, I felt they were transparent in our negotiations and didn’t put us through the back and forth games I’ve experienced before. They didn’t try to low ball us on our trade in or harass us into purchasing extras we didn’t want. I would wholeheartedly recommend buying from them and I will go back in the future if I need to purchase again. More

Service I made an appointment to see why check engine light was on and was told that I needed a catalytic converter and that it was not covered by my warranty I made an appointment to see why check engine light was on and was told that I needed a catalytic converter and that it was not covered by my warranty. I then called the dealership where I purchased the car and questioned them as to why it was not covered and was told that it should be but, to be sure, I should call and get the part number and call to verify. He gave me the number to call and then I called Sands for the part number. The lady who answered told me that she couldn’t get it for me, and that the person I was assigned to wasn’t there, but assured me that the service manager would call me back by the next day and explain why it wasn’t covered. I repeated that I only wanted the part number and she said he’d give it to me. The next day I received a voice message, not from a manager, but from the original person that I was assigned to who said that she saw that I made several inquiries (I only called them once for the part number) and that she had told me several times that it would not be covered. I did not appreciate the attitude I was given. All in all, Sands is okay but a little more training in customer service is needed. More

Fun shopping experience, great deals!!! We showed up at the dealership shopping for a Wrangler Unlimited one hour before closing. They gave us all the time we needed and did not rush us. We weren’t even going to make a purchase that evening, but the dealership made us an offer we couldn’t refuse and we bought our wrangler that evening! This was the 4th dealer we had visited over the past 30 days and the second dealer we had visited that day. None of the other dealers made us any reasonable offers despite our willingness to buy with a good deal. Would any of the previous dealers had made us even a reasonable offer, we would have been driving one of their Wranglers! Sands was over an hour from our home, but we are sooo happy we gave them a chance to earn a new loyal customer! More
