Long story short I called Joe a few days later and said I wanted to buy the truck. I made the deposit over the phone as Joe said he had a guy on his way to look at the truck and was pretty sure he may buy it. I wasn't going to let that happen and Joe made it work. I put 2500 miles on it right away on a hunting trip to Illinois. What a pleasure to drive!! I couldn't be any happier with Joe or Sands. Great experience.. More
Positive -no hassle new car buying experience. I have been dealing with Sands Brothers for over 20 years. Took my 2008 Dodge Caliber into service for state inspection. The car needed expensive rep I have been dealing with Sands Brothers for over 20 years. Took my 2008 Dodge Caliber into service for state inspection. The car needed expensive repairs to pass. After speaking with Derek Bast, telling him that I would probably not go for the needed repairs, I went to the showroom and met Greg Seip. I was holding a promotional mailer that offered a $50 Amazon gift card for taking a test drive. Greg and I talked about both a Jeep Compass and Cherokee, cars in which I was interested. He asked questions about my needs and picked out two cars that fit my price range and I drove both cars. Also met Rose Dunbar for a no pressure info session on financing and warranties. After a few days of discussion at home, I returned to the showroom and made a deal with Greg on a 2018 Compass. He and manager Chris honored a $500 incentive from another promotional mailer even though it expired. On purchase day, I got an informative review of Compass features from Greg and a speedy paperwork session with Rose. I drove out of the lot pleased with the entire experience. More

Positive experience - new Jeep purchase. My experience with Sands and Joe Lyons was a bit unusual (but very positive) in that I had negotiated the purchase of a new Jeep that was not on the l My experience with Sands and Joe Lyons was a bit unusual (but very positive) in that I had negotiated the purchase of a new Jeep that was not on the lot yet. The discussion was by phone and I felt no pressure to go to the dealership (which saved me a lot of time) to sit down and have a discussion and spend several hours there. Joe was terrific and very responsive to my questions and through the negotiation. When I decided to buy the Jeep and needed financing, I had investigated several options on my own since I thought I might be able to get a better rate by using the power of my excellent credit rating but Joe had mentioned that many times they are are to beat the financing rates that an individual could typically get on their own. It ended up that he was right and they had beat the rate that I had received on my own. When I finally arrived at the dealership (and still hadn't met Joe in person until that day) to take delivery of my Jeep, the paperwork had all been prepared, the Jeep looked great (detailed) and the process went quickly so I was in and out of the dealership in a short time frame. Joe took me around and introduced me to others within the organization so that when I need service for the Jeep that I could see a familiar face. Overall, the car buying experience was pleasant, it was efficient, and we both got what we wanted...I got the Jeep I was looking for and they got the sale. More

O By far the worst experience I have even had purchasing a car! Do Not Buy From This Dealer BEWARE!! My salesman Mike Buck has lied to me for months. On August 10, 2018 I placed an order for two trucks that was supposed to be delivered on November 2018. So after telling me the trucks would be delivered on two separate dates that came and went to date they have no idea where the trucks are and cannot tell me a date when I will have them. But when the trucks were ordered they promised that I would have them on time. These are commercial snow and salt vehicles that we need to perform work on commercial contracts. After being tired of the lies I contacted another dealership that is delivering the two trucks in two weeks. So I'm not sure if they sold the trucks that I was supposed to receive to a higher bidder or not. So after signing with a dealership that still holds the customer first I called my salesman (Mike Buck) and informed him that I went with another dealership and ask to have my deposit refunded he informed me that it doesn't work that way and good luck fighting with his manager. Never in my life would I expect a dealership that has missed two delivery dates and still cannot tell me when my trucks would be in to try to keep my deposit. So if you are considering buying a vehicle from this dealership I suggest you keep driving past Sands auto group and stop at a dealership that still respects and treats the customer they way they should be treated.
