The Legend of Jimmy Mack Went to several Dealerships throughout the Lehigh Valley in search of a new SUV for the wife. We were not loyal to any particular brand. Our previous Went to several Dealerships throughout the Lehigh Valley in search of a new SUV for the wife. We were not loyal to any particular brand. Our previous SUV had been a 2013 Ford Explorer which had served us well. We decided to try a few different brands so we drove the Jeep Cherokee, Honda Pilot, KIA Sonata, Dodge Durango to name a few. In the end the wife felt the most comfortable and the safest in the Dodge Durango. We had gone to Sands and drove both the Dodge and the Jeep at which time we had met Jimmy "The Mack " McBrearty. The Mack is a totally "old school" salesman ship experience. He rocks the suit pants and vest and likes to wheel and deal. The wife and I test drove several cars but then left to continue research on other brands. While driving the next day the wife says she has decided she wants the Dodge so we happen to be close to a Doge Dealership right off Route 33 so we pull in and began the process. We immediately meet resistance during the negotiations with our Millennial salesman who was doing a half decent job except for his manager who apparently did not understand what fair market value was for a vehicle and we walked away. I then decided to return to Jimmy Mack which is what I should of done in the first place. I told Jimmy Mack where I was on the price of the car. He was not afraid to get me to where I needed to be. I told Jimmy Mack I was going to walk right out that front door if he countered with some price that was not fair. He was still not afraid. The negotiations began and in the end Jimmy Mack and the Sands Dealership where able to sell me the car I wanted for just about $4,000 less than the other dealership. For me personally its not always about the car it is about how my wife and I get treated at a dealership. So in closing if you like Chrysler's, Dodge or Jeeps do yourself a favor and go see Jimmy "The Mack" McBrearty for wonderful old school car buying experience. When its time for me to get a new truck i will definitely being going back to Sands to see The Mack. More
