The day of my appointment SMBMW had personnel problems. It seemed that many of the Service Advisers did not make it in that morning and some service techs also were missing. My appointment was for 9:00AM and after being parked in the driving lane of the street for 25 minutes, and sitting in the showroom lounge for 15 minutes, I finally saw the Adviser at 9:40 AM. I was pleased that the service was complete earlier than the time I had requested. More

I had a drivetrain malfunction error and my car told me to immediately drive to the nearest dealership because it wouldn't go back into drive ready once it was parked. I called on my way to the dealership to immediately drive to the nearest dealership because it wouldn't go back into drive ready once it was parked. I called on my way to the dealership. I was told there was no loaner car available because loaners book out weeks in advance. If you car breaks down unplanned, you get nothing. The advisor wasn't exactly friendly and treated me as though he's doing me a favor getting my car in. Meanwhile my entire day has been blown up by this unplanned issue. A little compassion goes a long way instead he told me they don't build the cars they just repair them. I didn't hear anything back for over a day. On the second day I had to call, text, and then call the general number for an update. Never got a call back - just a text that the drive assembly needed replacement, the part would arrive mid-March, and that my car was ready for pickup. I had to ask if my car was safe to drive and got a one word 'yes.' I guess the upside is my car is getting the service it needs but talk about a lackluster experience. More
