Didn't complete the service I ordered tires through Subaru and discovered the exact same tires were significantly less as Walmart. So I printed my Walmart quote and brought it to Subaru. Management said they could not match the Walmart quote but would sell me the same tires for $2 each over their purchase cost (so I would pay for them to install the tires- I was told repeatedly that I shouldn't have anyone else install the tires because Subaru has seen outside parties break the tire sensors when installing ). So I I told Subaru to order them and scheduled an install appointment along with an oil change and $10 cleaning on a Saturday a few weeks later. I called back a week or two later to verify that the tires were ordered and came in. the service advisor I spoke to couldn't find my tire order connected to the appointment. The parts department who ordered the tires had lost/discarded my printed quote and had no record of the order. After further research the tire appointment was discovered in the system separately from my oil change appointment and I was assured we were good to go. When I dropped off my car last weekend for the service and install I asked for new wiper blades to be installed as well quoted for around $15 each. The service advisor said the cleaning could not be done because it was Saturday and they had half crews on those days even though multiple people over the past few weeks had seen the cleaning was on a Saturday. In an effort to please me the very great advisor said she would have them vacuum and wipe down the inside for free but couldn't wash it because of parking lot maintenance. I said thank you. When she brought up my preservice papaerwork to sign the cost was $60 over what I was originally quoted for the tires and install. I asked why and was told that the cost for subaru to order the tires had gone up since my original quote weeks ago so I would have to pay the extra cost. I said that it wasn't my fault that they ordered the tires after the price went up and was never told that the cost could fluctuate. After more back and forth the service advisor who was just as fed up with the process as I was, took $60 off the final cost to get back to the original quote amount. When the car was done with "all requested service" I was told it was ready(more than an hour and a half after the time I was told it would be ready) and came to pick it up. You will never guess..... it had never been cleaned on the inside and the wipers were $20 each not $15. I didn't care at that point and was just glad that the pain was over and left. Most of the service advisors were knowledgeable and competent and cared about pleasing me. One had no clue and I'd be glad to let management who is who in this scenario. The advisors on their own were good. However, there is a major communication and follow through disconnect between fellow employees and also between service and parts. If I can find a service station to trust and can honor my extended warranty I purchased I will go elsewhere. More
