Oil Change I purchased two vehicles from Schmelz and the customer service has nearly always been spot on. The last two service appointments however are making m I purchased two vehicles from Schmelz and the customer service has nearly always been spot on. The last two service appointments however are making me think twice about taking my vehicle in for service. Today, I set up an oil change. Over 1 hour and 45 minutes later, I finally got my vehicle back. This was a scheduled appointment. My car is a 2017 VW so no other maintenance was needed. (in for my first scheduled oil change). Once received, no car wash... although I was asked prior to picking up my car if I wanted it washed. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, I was hoping for a home cooked meal. Simply stated, I am disappointed and will be looking to other dealerships in the future who offer better communication and quicker turnaround. More

She has seen to it that my 04 Passat is kept up to speed in the ser I've been dealing with Shevawn Berg , service advisor extraordinaire, since 2004. She has seen to it that my 04 Passat is kept up to speed in the service department. She's friendly and efficient and KNOWS HER STUFF on Volkswagens recommended service. Followed all her advice, and the 04 purrs like a satisfied cat. Hopefully I can get another 13 years out of it . On the small chance of Shevawn not being in Service, my next go to guy is John - Management must have a heck of a training for their Advisors. Can't go wrong. More

Ripped me off Schmelz sold me used car that I did not even get home before it broke! Torque converter/tranny issues. Mechanic could not find problem first time. Do not trust this dealership or service department!! They are crooks!!! I am stuck with junk SUV that doesn't drive. Stranded. Leasing a new car We went in to trade our old lease out for a new one . Terrill Klecker who is a sales consultant at Maplewood Volkswagen was very knowledgeable. I had never turned in a lease before so naturally had a lot of questions. It would have been closer to home to turn in at Westside but a lot more hassle. Ralph answered all of my questions and even tracked down answers specific to the excess wear and tear, the pre-turn in inspection, and specifics. He did this all at no benefit to himself because I had already leased a new vehicle with a similar brand and he wasn't my original sales person. I should also mention that throughout the duration of the lease I had excellent service especially from Cesar. Thanks, schmelz!!! More
