I was in the market to lease a new car but had a difficult time deciding which one I wanted, so it's safe to say I met a fair share of car salesmen throughout this process. The first day we met, I was upfront with him about why I was there and told him I was just looking to test drive the GTI. Scott was very personable and relaxed from the get-go. He was both knowledgeable, as well as patient. It was important to me that I didn't feel rushed, which was my experience at other dealerships. A few days later, I visited the dealership next door and met a salesman who had me test drive a Subaru BRZ and the GTI back to back, and he somehow managed to be patronizing, inattentive, and uneducated about the car he was trying to sell me on -- kind of like a caricature of the whole used car salesman stereotype. Truly impressive. I easily knew who I would've much rather have dealt with. I reached out to Scott at Schumacher Volkswagen the next day. The GTI I was specifically interested in leasing was at another location, and he made sure it was at the dealership when they opened the following day. I test drove that one as well, and fell in love with the car instantly. Scott made the process of leasing a brand new GTI easy and painless, and was quick to answer any questions as they came up. I can honestly say, this was the best customer service I've received at a car dealership. The whole team at Schumacher Volkswagen was pleasant and made my visit a breeze. I'd certainly feel confident recommending this dealership to my close friends and family. More
