The finance experience could use some improvement. I was put out when Glen in Finance presented the first deal to me without running my credit supposedly. Offered a high payment with 4.99% interest when I qualified for 0.9%. It would be nice to know that you had the best interest of the customer in mind rather than making them feel they are being taken advantage of. I am a repeat customer to Scott Clark and if that was your vision you would certainly have many more repeat customers. The finance process took too long. I had to wait at least an hour or more after the deal was done to begin finance paperwork. More

I expected to be g This afternoon I purchased a vehicle from Scott Clark Honda. Like many people I am often wary of dealerships and car salespeople. I expected to be given the run around and to have to work too hard to get a decent deal. My experience today was the exact opposite. Everybody I met at the dealership was friendly and worked with me to get a great deal that was fair for all involved. I cannot recommend this dealership enough particularly Charles Johnson and Kevin Brown, my primary sales contacts. More

Forced Warranty Scam My husband and I traveled from Columbia, SC to purchase a 2007 Honda Odyssey from Scott Clark Honda. We were first time car-buyers and it must have s My husband and I traveled from Columbia, SC to purchase a 2007 Honda Odyssey from Scott Clark Honda. We were first time car-buyers and it must have shown. While meeting with Carlos in their finance department we were told that in order to obtain the financing offered by Wells Fargo (at 4.9% APR) we would be required to purchase an extended warranty through AUL for $2500. The justification given was that banks want to be safe from problems that older cars often pose. As I have discovered, this is a scam and it is illegal – no bank can require you to purchase a “service contract”/extended warranty to gain financing. Austin was our sales associate that day and rattled off features the van didn’t have and made promises he didn’t keep. When he told us everything was in working condition, we took him at his word. The reality was the van had a tail light out and a broken AC, which the warranty didn’t cover. Incidentally, it was our attempt to refinance the van in order to get out of a worthless warranty that led us to the realization that we were scammed. These are mistakes we won’t make again regardless of where we buy a car. However, I can assure you, we won’t ever return to this dealership. We learned a lot from our experience at Scott Clark Honda dealership and for all the wrong reasons! More
