I had a great experience at Scott Robinson Honda Torrance purchasing a CPO Honda CR-V a few days ago. I got a killer deal and absolutely love my new-to-me car!
I particularly wanted to mention my experience as a woman buying a car alone - I felt like I had a fair and respectful experience with the sales manager (Hardip Dhillon) and finance manager (Richard Bruce) that I worked with at this dealership. That being said, I encourage any ladies out there to do your homework before you arrive at the dealership - this is so important to make sure you are getting a fair deal! Don't be afraid to negotiate, and to walk if you feel like you are getting taken advantage of. This was my first time purchasing a car on my own, and if I hadn't taken the time to prepare before I arrived, I very easily could have gotten taken for a ride.
Hardip is a really kind and gentle sales manager - no aggressive, hard sell attitude with him at all (which would have made me walk - I'm not here for an aggressive, 'let's take advantage of a woman because she's too dumb to know how to negotiate for a car' attitude). He was helpful and knowledgeable, and worked hard to make a deal I was happy with at a very fair price. Hardip was diligent in following up with me to make sure I was happy once I got my CR-V home, and gave me great customer service throughout the negotiation and purchasing process. Two thumbs up also for Richard, the finance manager who handled all of my paperwork. He was really personable and outgoing, and made sure I understood every document and potential add-on, but never made me feel pressured to buy anything extra. He made the endless paperwork a truly painless experience. Honorary mention to one of the floor managers, Alex, who made sure to greet me and see me off, and make sure I was happy with my experience.
Just a quick note on visiting the dealership during Covid-19 - all employees were wearing masks, and all visitors are also required to wear masks. There were hand-sanitizing stations around the showroom, and each desk had a large plexi-glass partition up as added protection. Social distancing was enforced, and I saw employees cleaning door handles and other surfaces regularly. I felt very safe, and appreciated the attention to health and safety standards during this time.
Bottom line - go see Hardip Dhillon and Richard Bruce for a great sales experience at Scott Robinson Honda Torrance!

"Excellent car buying experience"
I was in the market for a white, 2020 Honda CR-V EX-L. I did my homework on the price before contacting any dealerships. When ready, I emailed Long Beach Honda, Airport Marina Honda, DCH Honda in Gardena and Scott Robinson Honda and asked for their last, best no haggle price.
DCH Honda didn't reply. Long Beach Honda sent me an offer that was very high. I countered, but they told me the price was non-negotiable. Airport Marina sent me a very good price, and I confirmed via email that there wouldn't be anything added to the price, and they said there would not. We went to Airport Marina and the VERY FIRST thing the salesman tried to do was add $1,095 for a destination charge. Next, even though I specifically informed him before hand that I didn't qualify for the Loyalty Program and the salesman confirmed this via email, he told us they had to raise the price by $1,000 because I didn't qualify. I read him our email messages and he said he "made a mistake." So in about 3 minutes, he raised the price by more than $2,000. His "mistake" was in being dishonest.
I received a quote from Troy at Scott Robinson Honda. I confirmed via email that there wouldn't be add-ons. At the dealership, Troy was very friendly and professional, and the cost of the car was as discussed. The purchase price I paid was within $100 of my counteroffer that was not accepted at Long Beach Honda.
Everybody at Scott Robinson Honda was very friendly and professional. I worked with Lu and Troy through email, and Troy and Ashley at the dealership. Kevin, in financing was equally as friendly and professional. Troy and Kevin did a good job explaining things like the cost and benefit of add-ons like a security system, the benefit of the extended warranty and other Honda offers. There was NO "hard sell" for the items we didn't want.
All in all, it was an excellent car buying experience.
