What a difference a service writer makes. My first experience with Scranton was not a great one I had an electrical issue that caused starting troubles ver y frequently with my 14 sierra I made an app experience with Scranton was not a great one I had an electrical issue that caused starting troubles ver y frequently with my 14 sierra I made an appointment with Josh ( terrible communication skills) to just have diagnostics done to figure out what was going on. I called after lunch to check on it and was told they couldn’t find anything even though it threw a code and I said it has left me stranded multiple times theres somthing wrong. Ok I will call you back later. No call back I called back to find them closed. Finally 11:45 next day saying still cant find anything we will keep looking. Day three we found nothing come pick up your truck and here is your $300 + invoice for not finding anything for diagnostic fees and had it been correctly diagnosed my warranty would have covered it free. I left saying I would never be back. Went home got on internet found multiple writeups on faulty neg battery cables causing the same issues. I waited till I got the no start issue again the next day. I grabbed neg cable pulled up on it a guess what it started right up. 10 min diagnostic 20 min repair and 39.00 part and truck is fixed by me. There is even a tsb about it that where the terminal and cable connet were faulty wth. Fast forward to july 17 I pull out of car wash drive about 1/2 mile and check engine light and traction light are on and its misfiring. Then I here a lifter clacking. Infamous afm lifter failure po304. I called scranton only because I was 2 min away and didn’t want to drive it far and damage it a I Got David the service advisor on the phone and he said come right over. He was knowledgeable and said we will jump right on it monday. mon came he called and said yep its a collapsed lifter. I gave him my extended warranty info. He updated me daily on progress with warranty company and exactly one week later it was done. It was fixed right and runs perfect.most of the time was waiting on warranty company or truck would have been done in three days. I will definitely be back for service thanks to David R (excellent communication) and the tech who did great work. More
