This is Alvin Chege, regularly customer. I had vehicle repaired including A/C and now malfunctioning. I asked before it repair to replace new A/C.after my vehicle was repaired, I was told my I had vehicle repaired including A/C and now malfunctioning. My father had been using Scranton in Vernon for MANY yrs. He’s since moved but I am connected to that account so it took all of 17 seconds to find me in their computer system. My current car, a 2013 Buick Verano was purchased here back in 2015. My father always insisted I go back there if anything ever happened or if I needed any work done, including repairs. I knew he was right but was always afraid it would cost much more than my local repair shop But that’s mainly because dealerships still haven’t lived down that “outrageously expensive” reputation for car repairs - not yet. I was however familiar with the top notch, quality treatment my father had always gotten here. He’s purchased MANY vehicles & has even had several family members buy from here over the years too. I got my current vehicle (2013 Buick Verano) from here about 7 yrs ago. It has almost 80,000 miles on it & it’s been the most reliable, solid car I’ve ever owned. I’ve had to pump it out a bit to make it look & feel less like an old man car but the dark tints pretty much took car of that. It’s only been recently that I’ve had any issues at all. My key broke. Now to be transparent, there’s always been a problem with the key itself staying down & locked & because of that, it compromised the strength of key itself. The daily stress out on it weakened it over the yrs from constantly having to be left open (sticking out). My brother repaired it at least 2 or 3 times so the key would stay down & locked in place but u can’t always fix a lemon (not the car, the key!). But I honestly had no fears of going back to Vernon Scranton to have a new one cut & programmed. I wasn’t familiar with where the service & repair center was but the sales department was more than happy to show me. So I made an appointment, it was 6 days away (a long time to try and drive with a broken key) but in the end, the new key, the cut, & having it programmed, came to about $300, which was more than I was expecting to pay (I was thinking along the lines of $200-ish) but I can’t really complain because I’ve literally had zero mechanical issues with my car in 7 yrs & it was 2yrs old with 14,000 miles on it when I got it. I’ve had the normal stuff done like breaks, rotors, oil changes, etc but that’s it. My father is still amazed at how good my cat has been to me. EVERYONE & I mean everyone at Scranton Motor in Vernon, CT is incredibly friendly & professional! 5 star rating all the way! Thank you, Allyson Costello More

We were already home 20 minutes away and they told us to come back and they would fix it, but with the price of gasoline these days are it was not worth our while. So we had to get out the GMC manual and try to figure it out ourselves☹️ More
