Quite possibly the worst dealer experience I have ever had. Drove over an hour to get there, no biggie., Loved the vehicle, sit down wasn't even going to negotiate. I was preapproved and handed over the financial info and my salesman says "we don't do that". I ask "Don't do what, take preapprovals?" This was an actual GM dealership BTW. He says "Oh we only like to sell through our financing." i.e. they get kickbacks. I am preapproved through my local CU and he tells me they like to finance thru their local CUs and that he "can even get me into the school one", whoopie. Why when I am approved thru my CU would I go thru the process all over to go thru one there? I walked and put in complaints with GM and local state agencies. I had a vehicle later that week, they still had theirs too, yup still sitting on the lot at $5K less. More
