On Tuesday, November 30, 2021 I was driving southbound on Interstate 81 in my 2015 Toyota Tacoma pulling a U-Haul trailer bound for Baton Rouge, LA. As I stepped on the gas to get up a hill, I felt a loud ba Interstate 81 in my 2015 Toyota Tacoma pulling a U-Haul trailer bound for Baton Rouge, LA. As I stepped on the gas to get up a hill, I felt a loud bang under my truck. My driveshaft had broken. I coasted off to the side of the highway, called 911, and within 30 minutes a wrecker and a State Police officer were there to assist me. The wrecker driver asked where he should take my truck and I told him "The nearest Toyota dealer" which happened to be Shelor Toyota. The folks at the Shelor Toyota service department were able to take a look at my broken Tacoma in a timely manner and, not surprisingly, had to order repair parts which they assured me would be in the following morning. They were kind enough to give me and my service dog a ride to a nearby hotel in their courtesy van. The following morning I received a call from "Joe" at 8:30am telling me my parts were in, and that he would dispatch the courtesy van to come get me. By the time I arrived back at the dealership my truck was ready. They even assisted me getting my U-Haul trailer hooked back up and I was on my way by 9:30am. I cannot begin to thank the Shelor Toyota Service Department for all they did to get me back on the road so quickly. A big shout-out to Joe, Bobby, and a few other people whose names I don't remember but are equally deserving of my thanks. I cannot praise them enough, and my dog gives a big WOOF WOOF thank you as well. More
