After taking with several owners of f-250’s of which none indicated that the steering column boot was located anywhere but against the firewall of their vehicle. Mr Adams advised the mechanic said and showed him that the boot was some 12 inches from firewall and that was normal!! Videos show it being mounted in the firewall.
