I brought my 2018 CR-V in for a battery drain problem. It has refused to start on 2 occasions during the last 2 weeks due to a weak battery charge. After almost 3 years of ownership, this is the first such i has refused to start on 2 occasions during the last 2 weeks due to a weak battery charge. After almost 3 years of ownership, this is the first such issue. I had taken it to 2 different parts stores for battery and charging systems checks after each failure. They all reported no problems with anything. So I took it to the experts. Shottenkirk checked out the battery and charging systems and reported no problems either. I left it for an overnight parasitic battery drain test. It was my understanding that they were to call me with the results and recommendations the next morning. This is where a problem occurred. I had heard nothing by 11:30 the next day so I called the service department. They had to go chase down the paperwork and call me back. They reported that they had done an additional battery and charging system test that morning. I appreciate the comprehensive attention to the problem but no one contacted me to let me know what was going on. I was in a lurch the entire morning trying to decide what to do that day in light of the car problem. Please keep us informed and you get 5 stars. More
Keri was great on the phone when I first called and also in the service shop. Great service and follow up from her. Not Honest People. I bought a used car from Not Honest People. I bought a used car from Shottenkirk. Everyone was friendly but nothing they said turned out to be true. 1. Everette Hall said "yes there is a second key" turns out there was not. Ok... Darean Hall (Dealership Manager) said "Michael, we are going to handle this for you" i.e. get me a second key. After three weeks of calling and speaking with Darean Hall, and him stringing me along, he finally stopped answering. I had to purchase a second key from another dealership. 2. They hid a cracked in the front window. The front windshield was cracked but it had been filled with something so it didn't show. I hit a rock on the way home and it exposed the crack that they had filled and hidden. Safelight would not fix the previously hidden crack bc it had already been fixed before. I had to replace window. I understand buying a used car is an as is sale but I thought a dealership wouldn't be so shady. 3. Said they would handle getting tag and title for me. After 3 weeks I received the title and the paper work to file to get tag. (no tag). Either one of these is no big deal but it starts to add up. I would never do business with Shottenkirk again. I would advise to get everything in writing if you do business with these people. More
