Mr. Ronald Schwint – We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the Better Business Bureau’s judgement. Recently, the BBB closed the case you opened stating, “In considering all communication between [Sioux Falls Ford] and the customer, the BBB has found that [Sioux Falls Ford] has made a good faith effort to resolve this issue.” I understand how frustrated you must have been when your “new” 2021 F150 with 25,657 miles lost power and your fishing trip was interrupted. Normally, Ford warranty will tow your vehicle for free to the nearest dealership to diagnose the issue. You chose to bypass three closer Ford dealerships with respectable service departments. When your vehicle arrived, our scheduled appointments were booked approximately one week out. However, we were able to accommodate your truck and we had it diagnosed within two days. At that time, we did not identify any issues with the truck. In other words, there weren’t any codes in the system and the truck was functioning normal. You insisted that something was wrong with it, and we agreed to continue to test drive it. You were not charged for anyone’s time to do so. After test driving the truck extensively, we couldn’t replicate the issue you had while towing your boat. After much back and forth through the BBB, you started getting personal while attacking people’s character. On a positive note, your truck checked out fine and it should be ready for your next fishing trip. As I mentioned before, I’m available to discuss this matter offline away from social media. A typical response from a poor dealership, blame the customer. Attempted to talk with the dealership privately, but they would not contact me until after I filed a complaint with the BBB. No comment on the poor and rude treatment from their staff. 5 days with no contact from the service department while your vehicle is being driven daily by courtesy drivers for over 300 miles. Never offer to talk to me "offline" about the matter or has made any attempt to contact me personally about the matter.
