Ron Parrish was like a longtime friend in the way we were treated, not like salesmen we have dealt with in the past,!! The Sales Manager Sage Bass was also a Joy to work and helpful!!! Finding the right car I first came to Keizer Skyline Ford to buy a part for my wife's new Mustang purchased elsewhere. In doing so I overheard a conversation between Phil I first came to Keizer Skyline Ford to buy a part for my wife's new Mustang purchased elsewhere. In doing so I overheard a conversation between Phil McColly and another staff person. I waited until they were done and asked about a Rav4 they had been discussing. Phil took my information and that night had already emailed me with eight or ten different vehicles he wanted me to consider that I'd indicated were within my price range and desired parameters. I called and we made a time to go and look at a few that were interesting to me that were both on another lot. I really thought I was going to be buying the Rav4 that looked most appealing but when we test drove it the "feel" just wasn't quite right. He had listened carefully and pointed out a Subaru Outback also on that lot and we test drove it as well. Again, I thought I was going to buy that one but he'd also heard me saying that the color just wasn't quite right, not so much for me but for my wife who wasn't even there ! When we got back to Keizer Skyline he pointed out the exact car I was looking for, right down to the color that would appeal to this Duck loving family ! I am a retired counselor and people's personalities and "style" mean everything to me when I'm dealing with them. Phil listened incredibly well, never pushed, never pressured and was a total pleasure to work with despite the fact that he was suffering a great deal of pain on that particular day from a bad back ! My wife came down and met us and both Phil and Walt Sommerson, the Sales Manager were easy to deal with and most helpful ! Without question the best car buying experience I've ever had ! I will definitely be back as they are going to include a towing package on my new vehicle and they have invited my family to take part in the Mustang owners group that meets at their lot later this summer and annually ! I have nothing but good things to say about this experience ! Walt was wonderful but I've now spent hours and hours with Phil and I have to say that this man simply is willing to do almost anything to make sure you get what you really want and that you have a wonderful buying experience ! Having a Bad Day? I and my Immediate Family have been dealing with this Service Location for years now. We are talking from one Generation to the next. The most recen I and my Immediate Family have been dealing with this Service Location for years now. We are talking from one Generation to the next. The most recent experience, unfortunately was one of my worst. I can't quite put my Finger on the problem. However, I do know it was rather unusual and in these competitive times, largely unacceptable. I took my '89 Ford F250 in for an Oil Change on Saturday morning (02/28/2015). I asked if they had time to do it and was told that they did. The Service Order was immediately written up and I began waiting in the Waiting Room, as I told them I would. An Hour or so went by and nothing appeared to be happening. Chuck finally came out to the waiting room and told me they "ran out of Oil my Truck uses." This, of course, was News to me and I compared it like taking your Vehicle to the Car Wash and having an Attendant inform you that your Vehicle is taking much longer due to the fact that they ran out of Water that your particular Vehicle uses! I realize that sounds crazy and it is! Is that not what Managers are hired to do? I think I spent about 2 Hours there for this and then it took about another 1/2 Hour, just to close the Invoice. Oh and guess what! The Oil Change was $36.95 as is Listed/Advertised at the Location. I was charged $47.78, which was for "O'R/10W30 Oil" for what appears to be 6 Quarts of Oil that they had to go purchase at O'Reilly's Auto Parts, which is about the furthest Auto Parts Store from that Location. I will forgive this only because I know that there are Businesses that have Contracts to work with one another and while I do not know if this is the case here, I am not going to dwell on that. The Young Man that closed my Repair Order did give me a Discount, but I still had to pay $37.78. This is not much different from the $36.95, but remember that it was the fact that running out of Oil for my Vehicle, is what ended costing me extra. I do not believe that I was responsible for the difference, even if we are talking .01 Cent over the advertised price. Nonetheless, I paid it just so that I could get out and enjoy the Sunny Day I was missing and would rather spend elsewhere. This Review in no way is meant to demean any one Individual. I am simply bringing it to your attention as "Constructive Criticism" and hope that you only use it as such. I have not been a longtime Customer for nothing. I was going to not recommend this service center, but after much further thought and contemplation, I changed my answer to a "yes" and hope that it doesn't come back and bite me from other Reviewers who have had their share of dealing with Businesses and/or Individuals that are experiencing what we would define as a "Bad Day." More
Looking for a Toyota Tundra for towing I will admit, I had car dealer PTSD...had not bought from a dealer in years and when I had to use them in my search it was not a happy experience. I I will admit, I had car dealer PTSD...had not bought from a dealer in years and when I had to use them in my search it was not a happy experience. I found the truck I wanted and called the dealer. Jon was very helpful sending me information as I live in Eugene. We made a plan to look at the truck and he turned me over to Chris who was wonderfully helpful and easy to work with. I also dealt with Walt and Sage...all of them great folks..easygoing, no pressure. Long and short, I ended up with the truck I wanted at a very fair price. They really went all out to make this sale happen. I couldn't feel any better about the process. I highly recommend them. More
