He showed me several cars I was difficult changing my mind several times but Alan and Craig stayed calm and professional and not pushy at all. Great experience with Kyle Karlsen as the Sales Rep My husband and I purchased a 2020 Kia Telluride last week. We were looking to check out a specific color and find out if they had high fees like the o My husband and I purchased a 2020 Kia Telluride last week. We were looking to check out a specific color and find out if they had high fees like the other dealerships we already checked out. Kyle was the salesman and he was wonderful; super friendly and easy to talk to. We had previously seen the car at a different dealership and had researched it immensely prior to going to see it again, so I felt like we were already experts on the car. Kyle was still able to come up with things to show us that we were unaware of. We had started the paperwork to buy the car and agreed to pick it up the next day. Overnight I decided I wanted a different color and emailed him to see if it was still possible to change cars (which meant changing the price slightly and redoing paperwork with a different VIN number). He returned my email immediately and made sure to address those changes first thing in the morning. Kyle was with us through the whole process and made sure that we were 100% happy when we finally picked up the car to take it home. Everyone we met at the dealership was nice and friendly. Jeff, the finance person, was also great to deal with. We had gone in there approved for financing through our own bank but he was able to beat the low percentage rate we had. He was not pushy at all with regards to the extra warranties and things that most dealerships push down your throat. He let us know what was available to purchase and asked if we wanted to go with any of those options without any pressure or annoyance on the subject. I usually dread feeling pressured about extra warranty options when buying a car, I actually thanked him for being so wonderful and making it a quick and annoyance-free process. We live in Nassau County but it's worth the drive out there to deal with them! I'd also like to point out that they all had their masks on during our visit. We had visited another Kia dealership where half the people weren't wearing masks and they were also allowing customers in without a mask on. During the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are required by all employees and customers are supposed to be wearing them as well. Kudos to Smithtown Kia for following the correct procedures and guidelines!
