Richie, the Finance Guy, was a joy to work with. He explained everything to my wife and I to make sure we understood all the financial details. Please steer clear of their service department for your own good. They will make up things to replace and charge you xxxxxxxx repair prices. And then when the same problem comes back up, they want to replace parts again and charge you ridiculous prices again. Was charged almost $3000 to make air conditioner run again, due to a leak in the system. They had the car for a month. Had extended warranty at the time, so I approved it. 1 year and 1200 miles later, no ac. This is a one owner / driver, low mileage (4100 mile) car that has been garaged and rarely even taken out in inclement weather. When I brought it back, just after the extended warranty ran out, they now want to replace the lines and condenser for $1777. After declining, I Had to pay $186 To get my un-repaired car back after they had it for 3 days. Service advocate held the keys and followed me to the cashier to make sure that I paid. Total mistrust. Having an automotive background, I tested the system before I gave it to them the first time and knew that there was a leak because the 134a was extremely low on the low side. They keep changing parts and charging, and changing and charging. Maybe I am crazy, but no one should have to pay $4686 to get their ac repaired. Maybe an engine replacement. I must add, that the driver of the shuttle that brought me home and back to the service department both times was a personable and professional driver. Kudos to him. If you feel the need to go to a dealers service center, you will have a much more professional and satisfying experience by using Generation kia in Bohemia. I used them for recalls and was thoroughly satisfied with their service and speed of repairs. Cannot rate the people that I worked with other than the service advisor. No one else was around to talk to. More
