My son took his 1999 Nissan quest in for service. The car ran poorly once it warmed up. Smithtown said that he had no coolant due to a leaking waterpump. Once I was able to check out the car I discover car ran poorly once it warmed up. Smithtown said that he had no coolant due to a leaking waterpump. Once I was able to check out the car I discovered a defective hose clamp. The waterpump was fine. I am not a trained mechanic and it took me 10 minutes to find the problem. I have to wonder are the Smithtown Nissan mechanics lazy, bad, or just looking to take advantage of someone who doesn't know about cars.
