Another reason we like Smithtown Nissan is there service, I only trust my car with them because I know that they use only Nissan parts and fluids that are correct for that vehicle. I purchased two vehicles at Smithtown Nissan, a low mileage used Sentra and leased a new Nissan Rogue. First, I couldn't even get a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning at this place. After a while, a sales guy finally went to a nearby gas station to get me some. Yes, this sounds trivial, it's just something I would expect these days. This dealership actually has customers pay for coffee in the service area. What really has lead me to post this is how poor my experience was on many different levels at this dealership. First, I was quoted on the low mileage Sentra that the price agreed to included the extended warranty. By the time I got to the financing guy, the extended warranty had been added on top of the price quoted. In the end, I ended up canceling the extended warranty as they were trying to add an additional $2500 on top of what was already agreed to. On the Rogue I asked for what the monthly payment would be for me to do a no money down except tax, title, again was quoted one thing, financing had a very different deal for me that did not reflect what was discussed at all. They also brought me to their on-site auto insurance rep, another dishonest person named Joe DeLucia, that is a story in and of itself, stay away from this guy. On the lease of the new Rogue, I encountered problems with the vehicle, the car intermittenly does not accelerate. THEIR mechanic told me the transmission should be replaced, although he said even doing that he had no confidence in it. The service manager told me everything checked out fine, I was good to go. The problem happended again. Now some sales manager asks me to cme in, he is willing to give me a deal on a new car, that they'll do buy out my lease. Lets just say I don't think any deal coming from this place would be in my best interest. They also love to say how they are the #2 dealership in the country, what exactly is that suppose to mean, that you are good at deceiving people better than others, that was my experience. Never shall I refer anyone to buy here, stay away. More
