I would give them 6 stars if I could. My car sat for 3 weeks because of the virus, and I decided to start it up to ensure the battery had a charge. The car started fine, but the engine was hardly running weeks because of the virus, and I decided to start it up to ensure the battery had a charge. The car started fine, but the engine was hardly running and drove very shaky and rough. Of course I took it in to Smithtown VW and had them take a look at it. They replaced a faulty part and cleaned out the engine because there was all this carbon gunk on everything. The car is running much better, and they even changed my oil too because you’re supposed to do that when cleaning the engine. What I would have imagined to be an expensive day wasn’t really too bad, just a cleaning. I drove the car pretty aggressively afterwards to see if it would run bad and it didn’t, wow those cars really do take off like the road runner bird haha! More

Mike DiMaria is TOPS! I have purchased dozens of new vehicles in the past including Lexus, Volvo, Mercedes and more, but the best car buying experience was at Smithtown VW and Mike was the reason! From the first time we met Mike in 2013 to 6 years later in 2019, his sales approach is honest, no pressure and upfront, everything needed to feel comfortable purchasing a vehicle. I was surprised by the attitude and unprofessional behavior I received when I brought my VW in. I said I’m sorry I don’t just sign things I’d like to know what I’m signing. Then a James came in who asked her what was going on and then turned to me and scolded me calling me young lady. I think their staff greeting customers need to be trained in customer service and respect. More
