I leased a vehicle with Smithtown Volkswagen in 2016. One of the reasons I decided to lease with them was because they agreed to forgive up to $500 of physical damage at the end of my lease and the leasing a of the reasons I decided to lease with them was because they agreed to forgive up to $500 of physical damage at the end of my lease and the leasing agent gave me a document stating this. At the end of my lease Volkswagen initially agreed to honor this agreement but after chasing around the manager for several months to get an answer, I was told they would not honor it. I was really disappointed in their dishonesty and deceptive business practices. I would not recommend doing business with them. Although I love Volkswagen cars I will not be releasing or repurchasing one based on this experience. More

I returned this week for a routine oil change. Staff is always nice and the wait is not long. They have a nice waiting room too. Perfection I live in Brooklyn NY and went to a funeral and cemetery nearby earlier in the day and realizing I was so close to Smithtown Volkswagen, I brought my I live in Brooklyn NY and went to a funeral and cemetery nearby earlier in the day and realizing I was so close to Smithtown Volkswagen, I brought my car in for a couple of minor issues to have checked. I arrived late in the day last week to Smithtown Volkswagen’s service department without an appointment, and was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic way I was treated. I especially want to commend Evan who looked at my Passat, he seemed to hover over the mechanic area to ensure the dealership’s exceptional standards are upheld, also Danielle Di’Pietro whose empathy and caring attitude shines through as she ferrets out my concerns to write up what the mechanics should check to address what is needed to make my Passat perfect again. Evan (did not get his last name), but his friendly attitude and the professional way he did his job, first checking with Danielle and going over my concerns and then checking my car and updating me with the results. His friendly attitude and demeanor let me know he is happy at his job and that the owner and management must treat their employees well. I would be remiss if I did not mention Adam Shifrin from the sales department, who made purchasing my vehicle a pleasure, to really know how special Adam is, just realize that I purchased my Passat over the phone, sometimes less is more, and I will let you fill in the rest on how special Adam must be to sell a used vehicle over the phone to a total stranger. Honestly everyone I met were good will ambassadors for Smithtown Volkswagen, I was kept informed every step of the way, my experience buying my Passat, and now getting my Passat checked were both seamless from start to finish.
