Went in to remedy recall, and left with a check engine light that previously wasn't there, luckily it was just an air sensor that was unplugged in clear view in the engine bay that I could figure out myse light that previously wasn't there, luckily it was just an air sensor that was unplugged in clear view in the engine bay that I could figure out myself. Had a sticky situation with a car I leased a couple of years ago from Smithtown VW through no fault of dealership or salesman (Sal D’Amico) Was at wits end with this and called Sal to see if anything coul years ago from Smithtown VW through no fault of dealership or salesman (Sal D’Amico) Was at wits end with this and called Sal to see if anything could be done .He took personal responsibility for helping me out He solved the problem and eased my frustration's for this particular situation.Sal spent a good part of the day resolving this issue and making me leave dealership very happy. I don’t know who else would of done this. The dealership should be glad to have a person like Sal My special kudos to Sal for helping me plus steering me in the right direction with a new vehicle.. I have never caught a break once here for service. Always had to bring it back the next day. Had the same thing fixed too many times to count only to be told that this is an "issue" with these cars. Left the had to bring it back the next day. Had the same thing fixed too many times to count only to be told that this is an "issue" with these cars. Left the car for 4 days, I had to call to find out status, and after I picked up the car the rear defroster doesn't work. I didn't even bring it back. UGHHHHHH More
