Although I ended up purchasing a vehicle that I'd already put a deposit down on elsewhere, Matt lined up a great alternative for me in case my prior deal had fallen through. This dealers handled it the best way possible to deliver top notch customer first service. It started with Bob Cerza (Sales) who sat in my car trying to figure it out with me. He then sent me to services who again sat in the car to resolve. But we could not. He (Caesar i believe) waled me over to Mike Watson for help. They took my car in right then for service. They even gave me a ride home and offered to pick me back up. This is what I call outstanding service. Wonderful experience for my first service with Volvo Summit. More
Spectacular Attention to Customer-Salesperson Deborah Amster I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by Deborah Amster upon my arrival to search for a car at Smythe. I'd had the pleasure of working with her previously--when she sold me my first Volvo vehicle. Deborah is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is attentive--an active listener, her friendliness is beyond "personable"--she distinguishes herself with her genuine interest. Working with Deborah is a completely different car-buying experience. Never a "tense" negotiation moment involved. She was able to provide me with all the answers to my technical questions about particular vehicles--you can easily observe how dedicated she is to detail, she takes time to masterfully explain the features of the vehicle. She even took time to re-program the Apple Car Play in the Volvo I drove to the dealership---an added but unexpected customer service PLUS. In addition, when Deborah learned that the vehicle was being purchased as a gift for my daughter--she made sure that the delivery day was special---even having the vehicle presented with a giant bow--leaving a large impression on my daughter (who also enjoyed Deborah's personal approach). Shaun Hayes was thorough in the explanation of the finance conditions. And.....when there was a post-contract errata discovered---he immediately called me and corrected the contract when many other dealers may not have done so---integrity builds trust. On top of all else--the Sales Manager PJ (who remembered me from that first Volvo purchase--took time to affably engage and catch up--and even had a few words of "adult advice" to send my daughter on her way in her new vehicle--much appreciated. My entire interaction with the Smythe team was pleasant and I wholeheartedly recommend this dealership. More

It Started with a Phone Call We were searching for a used, small luxury SUV with low mileage and identified an XC60 at Smythe Volvo in Summit. We called the dealership, not expec We were searching for a used, small luxury SUV with low mileage and identified an XC60 at Smythe Volvo in Summit. We called the dealership, not expecting too much info over the phone and were connected with Matt. Within minutes of speaking with him, we knew this was the dealership for us, even though it was 50 miles from our home. When we met Matt in person, he was extremely knowledgeable not only of the car we were interested in but also of the cars we were evaluating from competitors. Matt was able to understand our requirements and allow us to evaluate two models (XC60 and XC70) while sitting back patiently as we worked through the comparison. The defining moment came when Matt pulled the two cars side by side which made our decision much easier. Matt was thorough and the sales process was smooth, quick and pleasant. In all our years of buying and leasing cars, this was our most enjoyable experience ever!!!!! Thank you Matt (and all the others at Smythe Volvo). PS...We are now the proud owners of a Volvo station wagon. More
Great Car, Great Dealership I usually have my guard up whoever I go to a dealership in search of a car, expecting the hard sell. But at Smythe Volvo (a family owned business) I I usually have my guard up whoever I go to a dealership in search of a car, expecting the hard sell. But at Smythe Volvo (a family owned business) I never had that experience. Deborah set my wife and me at ease from the very beginning and made the experience very pleasant. She was attentive on the day of the sale, and on the follow up visit to further explain all the intricacies of the car (which I absolutely love). As we were finishing up our lease agreement one of the owners came into the room to thank us for our business. I would highly recommend this dealership for the purchase of a XC60 or any other Volvo. Unusual Car Buying Experience (In a Good Way!) My past experience has taught me that when I walk into any dealership I need to be alert and cautious to avoid being misled or deceived. As I waited and waited to catch the salesman trying to pull one over on me, the moment never came. Instead I was left with an unusually honest and transparent (for this industry) salesman and the experience was incredibly easy. The value of my trade and the new (to me) vehicle was negotiated quickly and both were valued appropriately. The rest of the process was very smooth and in no time I left with a new (to me) vehicle. I will be recommending the salesman, Matt Quelch, to anyone I know looking for a Volvo or any used vehicles the dealership may have. More
Idiots We have recently purchased 3 CPO Volvo's. The other 2 were purchased at a different Volvo dealer which we were pleased with. We chose to purchase at S We have recently purchased 3 CPO Volvo's. The other 2 were purchased at a different Volvo dealer which we were pleased with. We chose to purchase at Smythe because they had the exact car I wanted (model/year/color/mileage) listed on their website and we had been looking for a while. This dealer ship was much more difficult to deal with that the other one. After I had the car for about 6 weeks, the message indicating that it needed service came on. I did not understand as CPO should be serviced, so they gave me some story about not being able to reset the message before I got it and that I would need to bring the car back so they could "plug it into a computer" and reset it. The bottom line is that it is a simple process done from the screen and I could have done it at home. Smythe makes buying a pre-owned car more difficult than it needs to be. But I do like my Volvo. I will get it serviced somewhere else. More
