The gentleman that was my customer service representative yesterday, Meng Lim, was excellent. He got my vehicle in for service right away, took good care of my car, made sure I knew the cost upfront, and was pleasant and professional. The service department is great every time !! Great Experience! First I would like to state that my Fiancée and I could not have drove off of any lot with a car under 20,000 miles. With both our credit scores aroun First I would like to state that my Fiancée and I could not have drove off of any lot with a car under 20,000 miles. With both our credit scores around the low 500's, my Fiancée being a full-time stay-at-home Mom/college student and a repossession on my credit, one could only imagine our struggles in finding the perfect car for us. We walked into South Charlotte Hyundai on Chrstmas Eve 2014 just to see what kind of offers they had. We were immediately greeted by Gaither Hendrix. After a short conversation with Gaither about our likes and target monthly payment, we felt confident that he was going to get us a car. He first showed us a 2011 Sonata with 50,000 miles on it. We didn't like this car because of the miles, the color and the wear of the intrrior. But unlike other car salesman that we have encountered, Gaither said okay, well we have some other used cars that have better mileage and maybe a little out of your target range. We chose a 2013 Sonata with only 17800 miles on it. My target payment went from $200 to $410. I became concerned because my major want is to save but i realized that a new car could actually save us big bucks in following years. The customer service did not stop there. I believe that the whole South Charlotte of Hyundai team fought for us to get our payment dropped. Within a few days of owning the car our interest dropped almost 3 full points due to the finance department looking at other banks offers. Overall this has been a great experience. Great dealership for first time buyers I believe. More
