We are sorry you are not happy with your experience with us. To address your concerns: your left side ball joints were extremely loose and never would have passed inspection. We informed you that in order to pass inspection the left ball joints had to be replaced, and if you replaced the right ball joints as well the grinding noise you were concerned about would stop. We absolutely did bleed the brakes after we completed the brake work. We also explained to you that due to the excessive rust and the fact that the vehicle was a farm truck that had just been sitting for several months that you would likely continue to have issues. We were aware that you were concerned about the cost which is why we completed the repairs below warranty cost and gave you a discount of $177.72. We feel we went above and beyond to give you the repairs that you needed at a cost you could afford. Thank you, Mark Sands, General Manager, Hall Ford

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with your visit to our Quicklane Service Facility. After reviewing the situation and looking at our records, it appears you bought your F150 almost 18 months ago (June 2013) when your truck had 85,000 miles on it. At the time of your visit on Nov 17th, 2014 our records indicate you now have a little over 92,000 miles. We do have strict used car inspection standards before we offer any vehicle for resale. I show we did the following services before offering this truck for sale: complete multi-point inspection of entire vehicle, state inspection, wiper blades, window repair, air filter, power steering flush (due to burnt fluid), brake flush (due to being dirty), secure battery cover, repaired 4wd system that was INOP, tag bulb replacement, oil and filter change, replaced driver side mirror glass, detailed vehicle, tire rotation, front end alignment, and some other small items. We also measured brakes and tires and found the brakes to still be approximately 4 to 5/32’nds on front and 6/32’nds for back. If you feel we fell short of doing what is needed to provide a quality vehicle for resale please contact me directly: Mark Sands, General Manager, at 757-989-5705. I do understand the financial burdens of an unexpected maintenance item especially during this time of the year. Our goal is to have completely satisfied customers, so I am available to discuss the front brakes that were required on your truck for state inspection.

wchambers72, We understand you are upset and hope to help explain your situation. Please realize that you did receive your free state inspection just like every year. This free state inspection however does not cover any repairs if it fails for anything, such as in your case an exhaust leak at the manifold. Unfortunately, your vehicle is not currently under warranty so the repairs needed to pass the free state inspection were not covered. We encourage you to get a second opinion for reassurance, unfortunately it seems that the other service department you went to could not duplicate the problem.
