This was my first time buying a new car, and it was very pleasant and I was surprised at how smooth everything went. When I arrived at the dealership, I was a bit distracted with all the remodeling of the o pleasant and I was surprised at how smooth everything went. But Carole greeted me and my friend as we were getting off the car and asked what I was looking for. She showed me several cars that I was interested in and helped me with test driving. When I returned to the dealership, Carole worked with me to find a car that I preferred. I was actually quite disappointed that they didn't keep an electronic inventory of the cars they have on the lot(probably a room for improvement) as regards to color or model of specific model of the car. But I was able to pick a car that I wanted. I did some online research as regards to the model of car that I wanted as regards to price/location of other dealership/rebates, which may have helped with the pricing, but I certainly did get the price(after rebate) that I wanted. Financing went very smoothly, probably because they didn't try to sell me extra services that I really didn't want. Overall, it was a great experience, considering it was my first time. More
As a hard working man I was and wasnt looking for a car this early but did have my thoughts of purchasing a new car. Not only a new or used car but a particular car that I had my eyes set on for over a yea this early but did have my thoughts of purchasing a new car. I hate spending money and I hate the stress and uncertainty that comes with having to get a new car. But the whole staff was very sensitive to my needs. Terry was excellent - I would recommend him to anyone who is leasing a car for the first time. He was very patient in explaining the process and figures every step of the way. He really listened to my opinions and never pressured me at all. Plus, he had my whole family's competing opinions and interests to deal with. He was fun, perceptive, and fair. He worked really hard to get me a great car that I love at a price I could afford. I went to other dealerships and nothing compared - everyone else was gimmicky and fake (not to mention unnecessarily expensive!). Here are real people who really are great at what they do and will give you the best value. I got the hatchback Accent which was absolutely perfect for me and my needs. It comes with an iPod hookup and is under excellent warranty. It really was the best - a beautiful car, safe, with excellent features, at a really affordable price for a graduate student!! They really stand behind their product. It was also my birthday and they brought me balloons. Not to mention that we got free hot dogs and bottled water as we were waiting for all the paperwork. Going that extra step for their clients is what they're all about. If you go to the Durham - Chapel Hill Blvd dealership, you really have to talk to Terry - he made my entire experience not only bearable, but really valuable and satisfying. Chuck and Imran were also really great - really down to earth and funny at the end of a long and stressful day. They were more than willing to answer any questions I had. Chuck made sure that I didn't leave before I checked everything out and Imran was really efficient with the zillions of forms we had to fill out. He double and triple checked that we had all the correct information but he made it a quick process. More

This place is a joke! The sales rep that I was working with did not even introduce himself. He was very rude and had a cold disposition about himself. He even tried to hit on me indirectly. This is my second review for this dealership - much has happened since the first one and my scores have changed. Customer Service and Friendliness is top notch at this dealership. Every single person I've encountered post-sale has been helpful and I've felt like they were there for me. I did recommend this dealership to my parents, and they purchased a Mazda from here. However they used a different sales person. Jordan Gibbs was really great with them. For my personal experience I wasn't impressed at all with my sales person, or the finance department during my deal. I feel like I've been pacified but not actually pleased, if that makes sense. The list of things that have gone wrong are too numerous to put on this review. The best advise I can give a potential buyer is to watch out for yourself. If you want something, make sure you review what they say you are getting. The best example I have is that I test drove a red Hyundai Sonata and had planned to buy that one then I decided I wanted to see a blue one just like it. I very clearly told my sales person that I wanted the exact same vehicle in the different color but what I ended up with was less than that. He clearly didn't know the inventory well enough to know what each vehicle had, nor did he make sure that the vehicle had everything. After the sale, Lynda Newman did offer to correct everything and we tried to add the features that were missing, however due to a change in Hyundai manufacturing, the part to fix it doesn't exist, so I still don't have it. There is a communication breakdown somewhere but I haven't been able to identify if its with parts or with Hyundai or where. Also, beware that Hyundai Sonata has a track record of inhibitor switch issues. My brand new vehicle broke down with 666.0 miles on it while we were on vacation and we had to have it towed. Obviously, I was extremely upset when this happened but Sport Durst employees were definitely there for me to help me along with that situation. Terry McCoy, Lynda Newman, John Fletcher and Myrtle Beach Hyundai tried to make the best of a difficult situation. I'm still not pleased with how this has all transpired, and there are a few more things that have gone wrong that I just don't have the time or energy to write about. Bottom line is this: know what you want, do your research, make sure you get what you ask for before you sign anything, follow up with everything you are told, and proofread everything. More
