I came last month to StamfordHyundai looking for something safe and reliable for my 18 year old son who just got out of high school. I heard great things about Hyundai lately since two of my co-workers own one. I used to able be skeptical about the brand since everybody talks about Honda and Toyota as reliable sources. But after hearing great things about the improvements of Hyundai I decided to give it a shot and boy was I satisfied. I came across Michael who greeted us at the door and explained to him how important safety is for me. In only 5 minutes of a small chat he was able to find the right car for me. He showed me an 2013 Elantra with 5 star safety ratings and great gas economy. I was blown away to know it was very affordable too. He was very friendly and only focused on the things that matter to me. I have gone to many other dealers which just didn't have the time to try to care for my needs just my money. He actually made me feel like part of family. The paper work was quick and no BS. I was impressed since I'm someone who hates having to wait long to buy a car after a while. My son is happy and Im happy. What else can I ask for? I would recommend Michael Ortega to anybody. His a young, friendly person with a lot of enthusiasm who really made my car shopping very easy and convenient. More
DO NOT USE SERVICE if you want excellent customer service and care. Guys at service desk can be rude and condescending. In the past, I wasn't overly impressed with the service in general, but the most recent experience was such a bad one that it is worth sharing here. My car broke down and had it towed there. After my husband had a conversation with David about when Hyundai would look at the car -- which ended in an altercation -- I actually had the car towed from the dealership to another car place, so that I can do business with a place that cares about my car and future business. I was inconvenienced and had to pay another $60 for a second tow, but what Stamford Hyundai needs to remember is that consumers have a choice. It's not too much off my nose to find another service place and to buy cars other than Hyundai. For any business, the cheapest and most profitable customer to keep is an existing customer. The Stamford dealer just lost one. We are currently in the process of buying another car, and the Santa Fe Sport was a very strong contender. We would have bought from the Stamford dealership as we had a relationship there. No more. A loss of thousands for the Stamford dealer, in both service and in car sales, all for a poorly handled conversation by the service desk. More
I was first interested in purchasing a 2013 Sonata Hybrid model. Over e-mail, Corey and I had agreed to a price of $23,707. However, when I arrived in person to discuss this, David told me that the only way they could secure that price would be if I financed with Stamford Hyundai - which was not mentioned in the e-mail. I was not interested in financing, so I said "thank you, but no thank you." At this point we started discussing a 2012 Sonata Hybrid and eventually agreed on a price of $24,173. When I came in two days later to sign paperwork, Paul showed me the final invoice - with a price of $24,998. When I complained, Paul checked with Corey and got the correct price on the invoice. Overall, I felt scammed by Paul and by David. Corey was a good salesman - friendly, reasonable, willing to work with me. David lied to me about the original price, and Paul tried to cheat me out of $800. I would NOT recommend purchasing a vehicle through Stamford Hyundai. More

We bought a 2000 Hyundai Elantra way back in 2000 and have given it to our 17 yr old daughter this month. We no longer need our big gas guzzling 6 cylinder Kia Sedona minivan with just a 9 year old, so w have given it to our 17 yr old daughter this month. We no longer need our big gas guzzling 6 cylinder Kia Sedona minivan with just a 9 year old, so we brought it in, got cash for it and leased a 2013 sharp looking Black Elantra. Their service was impeccable; friendly, professional and prompt. The only difficulty I had was trying to decide which color! But someone bought the white so I went with the hot black! Love the car!! From our Sales Specialist, Phil Fodiman, to dealer manager, Woody, to our finance pro, Andres Cadena, it was a true pleasure to do business with them and this car dealership! More
