I bought my Used Kia Sorento from Stamford Hyundai and picked it up on 5/22. When I got back to Massachusetts, I discovered the brake lights did not function. I was very upset. I spoke to Mike your Fin picked it up on 5/22. When I got back to Massachusetts, I discovered the brake lights did not function. I was very upset. I spoke to Mike your Finance Manager on 5/24 and he made me bring the Kia back to Stamford, from MA, and I was told to speak to Jay, the Service Manager, when I got there on 5/29@7:30am. I was told by the Service guy, Jay was not there, would not be returning until Tuesday, and that they did not do Diagnostics on Saturdays, but will try to fix it. Mike had committed a Loaner to me if it could be fixed immediately because I have family commitments. I told him I would be at your dealership at 7:30am when it opened. When I asked for a loaner because they were not fixing it at 10am, I was told, you had no loaners, and you could not offer me a vehicle because MA did not allow SUVs with temporary plates. I had to wait until the SUV was fixed. I was going to leave, without the SUV fixed, when a manager told me, they found out what the issue was, the entire back lamp, and replaced it. That was after 11am, and I had a 4 hour drive back to MA, and missed my family event. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied that the Used Vehicle was not inspected correctly before I picked it up. It had a MAJOR Safety issue. You had 2 weeks from the time I signed the deal, and when I picked it up, AND the SUV was not cleaned or washed when I picked it up on 5/22. What a debacle. I'm neither happy or satisfied. I want to be clear, I had no issues with the Initial Sales person, Ferdous, or the sales process. BUT, letting a vehicle off your lot, with Major safety issue, like the brake lights not functioning correctly is unacceptable, and dangerous. And the follow up with your Manager, Mike was unacceptable. He should not promise commitments, and not be able to deliver on those commitments. More
