I agreed to purchase a 2021 Tesla Model Y at the listed and quoted price of $25,500 before fees ($27,778 after fees). Based on that price, I secured outside financing, arranged funding, obtained cashier’s checks, and provided insurance while waiting through a week of delays, during which I was repeatedly told the vehicle was being “detailed” and “serviced.” Off site. Communication throughout this process was poor, particularly with a salesperson named Ocean, who failed to clearly explain the vehicle’s status. I was left repeatedly chasing updates and timelines with little clarity or follow-through. Once the car finally arrived and paperwork was actively being prepared, I was passed off to another salesperson, Josh, where it only went down hill, Josh raised the price to $27,795.63 before fees ($29,853.89 after fees) well above the originally quoted and advertised pricing (which had since changed to $25,888 online). I was told this increase was because the dealership would “lose money” if they honored the price I was quoted just two days earlier. When I questioned this, Josh stated that the listed price supposedly applied only to veterans or military personnel. This condition was never disclosed at any point, and I was never asked whether I qualified. This explanation was introduced only after financing was secured and paperwork was already in motion, making it feel like a retroactive justification rather than a legitimate policy. When I stated that I was prepared to proceed only at the originally agreed-upon price, Star Nissan refused to move forward with the sale. Bait-and-switch pricing, undisclosed conditions, and a complete lack of professional communication are a few ways to sum up Star Nissan. A reputable dealership honors its advertised pricing or clearly discloses all conditions upfront. Star Nissan did neither. I ultimately purchased a similar vehicle elsewhere through a transparent, no-haggle process at a lower cost, which only highlighted how unnecessary and avoidable this experience was. I would not recommend Star Nissan of Niles to anyone. More
I don't understand and can't believe people still going to this place service department and I did have bad experience before with them and I said I'll give it one more try but I was very wrong 1 oil cha to this place service department and I did have bad experience before with them and I said I'll give it one more try but I was very wrong 1 oil change take over 2 hours 2 I get my car back and inside was oiled mark in the door, driver seat,and out side on the hood and oil spill on big one on engine cover and oil on driver door from outside 3 they offer on line $70 something for oil change but the service guy charged me over $107 dollars!!!!!! My advice don't give your hard earned money for these people at all and go somewhere else More

I was thoroughly disappointed and beyond dissatisfied with the experience that I had yesterday; it was one of the worst car buying experiences that I've ever had. I came specifically to Berman Star Nissan, because I have purchased cars and received service for over 5 years from their Subaru dealership in Chicago. I had researched a specific used car online, reached out to their sales team about its availability, had numerous pieces of correspondence about its condition and my desire and intent to schedule a test drive. I rescheduled my work day and made arrangements to visit the dealership with the intent to purchase the car after a test drive. After taking a ride share to be there so that I could potentially depart with the vehicle, I was told after 15 minutes waiting in an office that it was "under negotiations" with another customer - this after literally 30 minutes prior telling their sales representative when I was going to arrive. I was then shown another vehicle that was more expensive and in far worse condition than the subsequent paperwork that he gave me to review showed. After expressing my disappointment and disinterest, he then left the room again stating that he was going to try and get his manager to come meet with me before I left. Upon his return, without them, he had the audacity to tell me a completely different story about the car I originally came to purchase, stating that it was sold that morning. I left and was required to pay for another rideshare home. Simply put - this was a total waste of my time and money. They should be ashamed of the unethical sales tactics used and I will never do business with this business. They have proven and reinforced every negative stereotype of the industry. More
