I have recommended Starling Chevrolet (in particular Cornelius - he is great) and have purchased two vehicles there. But their service department this time was HORRIBLE!!!! I drove the car to work on T Cornelius - he is great) and have purchased two vehicles there. But their service department this time was HORRIBLE!!!! I drove the car to work on Thursday and it died on the way home. It only has 18K miles so I imagined it would still be under warranty. Well turns out it was a recalled fuel pump modular... no big deal. However on the following Wednesday when it was ready... not only were there scratched and knicks on the outside, the inside smelled HORRIBLY!!!! I mean you choke when you opened the door. Service guy, Toby, said oh it smelled that way when you dropped it off, figured you all smoked. We most certainly are not smokers! So then it must have been the tow guys. Nope, as I was with them the whole time, as they had driven me to the dealership and the time they spent in the car was less than a minute, if even that. Joe, service manager, comes out saying no one smokes here this smell isn't from us. However he said they would buff the scratch and knicks out and deoderize the cabin. A few calls later they have the car on Friday. Go to pick it up... I can still smell it under what they sprayed. I was told by Joe they don't smell it at all and they did not make the car smell but they paid to change the cabin filter and to have it deoderized. Nothing more they can do. And I could go talk to sales and see what they can do trading it in for a new car. WHAT????? Annoyed I leave to figure out what to do... tonight I open the car door and it is back full full strength. A friend walked away coughing and choking after just opening the door. We are meticulous... the car was still brand new!!!!! Even on the last oil change their own service guys have told us they have never seen a car that well taken care of. Currently waiting on higher manager to call back. Something has to done! More
I would give the dealership a 5 but they need more mechanics so I would not have to wait so long for an appointment. It shouldn't take 1 - 2 weeks to get an oil change. That's my only complaint. mechanics so I would not have to wait so long for an appointment. It shouldn't take 1 - 2 weeks to get an oil change. That's my only complaint. More

I was also told my key fob battery would be changed due to continual dashboard error messages to change key fob battery, the errors persist, and this is after this was to be taken care of on a previous appointment set up only to fix the key fob error. I was told by Toby I was past due for my 30,000 mile major service, and he quoted the major service at over $2,000.00. I never had to have a major service on my previous 6 Tahoes, so I checked my service manual. The service manual only lists service increments in 12,000 mile increments. This includes oil and filter changes as well as other services. The major service Toby quoted was listed in my factory service manual to be done at 72,000 miles. And Starling has put stickers on the inside of my windshield recommending oil and filter changes every 5,000 miles. so based on Starling’s sticker recommendation, I have been having Starling do oil changes every 5,000 miles and not the 12,000 as recommended by the factory. Also, the oil is quoted to be synthetic, and if it is, it should only require oil changes every 12,000 miles as recommended in the factory service manual. By the way, I have reported this to GM and they have responded that they are reviewing my complaints. Like I said first off in this review, Toby was great to deal with and extremely busy when I was there this past Wednesday June 10th. Sincerely, Dave More
